Los Angeles-based Joyrich teams up with New York denim brand Gerlan Jeans for a fun-filled, colorful collection, designed for both sexes. Sort of post-Club-Kid-Cross-Colours made fresh and perfect for the New Millennium babies.  Wondering about the cute pink shoes? They are Dr. Martens.

The character of Betty Boop, created in 1930 but finalised in 1932 by  Max Fleischer is often considered as one of the first animated characters with sex symbol appeal. While her counterparts have clear childish demeanor Betty Boop ( a longtime favorite ) moves through the world in garter belt and a formfitting black dress and high heels. We’re very excited to give you a peek at Joyrich’s collection inspired by the incomparable Betty Boop.

As one of the label after our own hearts, Joyrich’s lookbook for Spring 2013  (previewed a few months ago) exemplifies how funky cool apparel with a streetwear edge can be. Inspired by the late 80s and 90s each look has the perfect balance of bold color, sleek silhouette with a little athleticism thrown in. On the next page enjoy the look book spotted on Nitrolicious.

With dropping temperatures outside, I started spending more time -as propably all of us- at home. While poking in my collection of old DVDs, I (re)discovered John Singleton’s Boyz ‘N The Hood with Cuba Gooding Jr. I almost forgot about how much I love this movie and of course the 90s s music and street-inspired fashion that were a part of it. The weekly outfit therefore is a homage to the colors and cuts of this legendary epoch, my childhood and obviously the here and now. Here is the outfit we put together for you to buy online on the spot.

Always one of HighSnobette’s favorites, a visit to see what Joyrich is cooking up is a must-do at Project. On this page you see a view of one the brand’s candy-colored motorcycle jackets for Spring 2013. On the next page, a collaborative effort with Gerlan Jeans on a line of bright and fun plastic backpacks, plus an amazing, jewel-covered dress, done in partnership with super socialite and  Japanese DJ and ironic socialite, Mademoiselle Yulia.

Joyrich does its usual  amazing job blending street style inspired by London, Tokyo and New York. This year themes are varsity jackets and leggings, which designer David Melgar recommends pairing with a pair of pumps. The heart melts!

Joyrich has teamed up with Keith Haring on a capsule collection of bikinis, which will launch in late Spring. The collaboration will include two patterns: “Men And Dogs” and “Stars And Stripes,” which you see on the next page.

Both items will be available from our friends at Karmaloop, which by the way, we’re told, is launching a monthly site-wide scavenger hunt. It’s called “Peep Show” and when you find the hidden item, send an email detailing what it is and a winner will be randomly picked from entrants.
