Celine cover PFW: Céline Autumn/Winter 2013
It’s Phoebe Philo’s turn at Céline to give her version of the contemporary woman. In shades of white, powder pink, gray, navy, new silhouettes appear in roundness. Everything was so effortless and so wearable. The collection gives pride to enveloping coats, lightly finishing in a trapeze with slits on the side and rounded sleeves. Not to forget the incredible shoes and accessories that deserve at least as much attention as the clothing. THE SHOES!

Take a closer look at the pieces on the next page.

Céline Spring/Summer 2013 Footwear

CELINESS1 Céline Spring/Summer 2013 Footwear
Phoebe Philo is known for creating minimalist collections at the helm of French fashion house, Céline, but with her remarkable fur covered stilettos for Spring/Summer 2013 she created some of the funniest and most odd-looking shoes I’ve seen in quite some time. The furry shoes shown above are in total contrast to the rest of the collection, which included sleek little black dresses, pastel slips and outerwear in red, yellow, lilac and blue. Although I could gaze upon these furry pumps for hours, I am not quite sure I could imagine wearing them in Spring.

Let us know if you’d wear Celine’s fur footwear by leaving your comment below.

QueenoftheJungleMelodyEhsanijpg HighSnobette Best Of 2012

What we have always loved about fashion is it’s potential to bring joy. We as HighSnobette editors feel so lucky to not only have witnessed many of these special moments but to also have come to know and watch grow many of the artists and designers behind some of our favorite projects. Below in no particular order we share what we regard as some of the best, joy-bringing efforts of 2012:

Designer Melody Ehsani’s star has been on the rise for quite some time now, but her “Queen of the Jungle” necklace (above) in many ways stamped her official arrival. We lost count of the stylish celebrities spotted in this vivacious fun piece.

Leah McSweeney has always been a force of personality. She literally is the MTTM brand, as backed by an intensely loyal supporting staff + fan base. Like many young brands the label went through its stumbles when investors pulled out, but the tenacious McSweeney was able to hold on to the name and this year the label found its own inimitable stride again, as marked by the brand’s “Supreme Bitch” snapback cap, which received the blessing of none other mega-style star Rihanna.

See many more “bests” on the next page. And a very Happy New Year to all. Thank you so much for your support in 2012.

Céline Spring/Summer 2013 Runway & The Shoes!

Could it be that Phoebe Philo’s Spring 2013  for Céline mark a trend towards a more comfortable side of fashion? While we highly doubt that women will give up their heels in lieu of mink slides, the nonchalance of the looks is kind of ballsy and refreshing. While the runway show will highlights the very desirable apparel hop over on the next page for some furry shoe and my favorite so far, the red painted toes pumps! via Style.
