Fashions weeks are usually a very busy time for us. It can get hectic and girls like us who are on a mission need to add a bit of pragmatism to the ensemble: a bag that fits the large invitation cards (it can get windy in Paris, Berlin or Milan at this time of the year so don’t let them get blown away!) and a camera, which we may well put around the neck always on the ready to snap shoot. After a cold start in Berlin and an even colder one in Paris, take a closer look at our selection for the perfect fashion week outfit.

We Are Handsome is fairly known for their beautiful swimwear and bodysuits and we at Highsnobette are true fans since its creation in 2009. For each collection designerIndhra Chagoury and Jeremy Somers choose a different topic and unite fine cuts and the  arts to  create a far-out line of colorful pieces. In its latest collection,”The Streets,” the brand worked with different artists who added their personal “street” designs to the collection. So the “Beatboxer” bodysuit includes the  WAH monogram  designed by Scottish Media Artist Christine Berrie and for “The Motel” bodysuit, Australian photographer Trevor King produced the print, which emerged from his recent trip to Vegas.

Unbelievable that there are people thinking about Christmas already, but WWD has just announced that Barney’s Madison Avenue will team up with Walt Disney for the coming holiday. For the festive season Barney’s windows will feature a three-dimensional electric light show featuring Disney’s most beloved heroes. A short film consisting of Disney characters walking the runway in the latest designer pieces also will be displayed in the windows. The campaign will be unveiled on November 14th.

This time last year we introduced you to Chance, the brand concept by Julia Leach centered around the beauty and simplicity of  the classic nautical  striped shirt, leisure and the pursuit of discoveries. Earlier today Julia  unveiled her Spring /Summer 2012 collection at Barneys New York. Illustrating  a Californian take on leisure,  the capsule collection features cotton tees, dresses, beach towels, and totes as well as a limited edition long-sleeve shirt Julia co-created with artist and friend Elliott Puckette, appropriately called the “Elliott” Stripe. On  the next page get a peek at the setting that has us ready to play hookie and head for a  large body of water. Some pieces available here .

Devoted to the artistry of scent making  Frédéric Malle discussed his book at an intimate gathering at  the  Frédéric Malle boutique on Madison avenue eralier this week.  We had an opportunity to hear his thoughts on fragrance  as an ar, t his belief that choosing a fragrance is a process that requires time,  and that while some scents can be preferred by men or women he’s not attached to the concept of a specific scent  for specific gender. . On hand were some of our favorites like Maurice roucel’s ‘ Musc Ravageur’ ,  Ralf Schwieger’s ‘ Lipstick rose” ,  Pierre Bourbon’s’ Iris Poudre’ among many others. As well as a complete assortment of body products and candles. Setup like a cozy living room the store’s entrance is as discrete as its interior.
