YMC and Liberty London teamed up on a capsule collection of accessories showing the typical Liberty London prints, which perfectly compliments the casual aesthetic of the YMC Spring/Summer 2013 collection. The patterns are inspired by the natural world and are vibrant yet never gaudy.

The collection consists of YMC’s hero rucksacks, footwear and headwear. Each piece is available in either the iconic floral (Katie & Millie) or paisley (Felix & Isabelle) Liberty prints and is now available online from the YMC online store.

The first pieces of the YMC Spring/Summer 2013 womenswear collection have landed online, presenting a glorious clash of colors, textures and prints. With the perfect mix of casual and feminine, there is not much left we need for the upcoming season instead of the right temperatures and a little bit of sun.

This week 20-year-old Cara Delevingne won British Fashion Awards’ Model of the Year. Congratulations! We had suspected this would happen, as the British model has been featured in countless runway shows and fashion features this year. Her quirky lightness and funny faces (someone should start a Tumblr on those) exude a joie de vivre that works as well at prim fashion events as backstage at a Rihanna concert (the two were spotted hanging out after Rhianna’s 777 tour stop in London). And to top it all off even away from the camera, Cara’s personal style has its own appealing flare and signature. As a sign of our true respect we dedicated our Weekly Outfit to Cara.

We want to introduce you to Maiami, a young Berlin-based knitwear label that is known for its traditional handcraft knitting, combined with modern components, catching the spirit of the time. For this Winter, Maiami teamed up with the guys from YMC on a capsule collection of knitwear and knitted accessories embedding cute motifs on colorful sweaters and cardigans. The unique pieces are made of different materials including not only pure virgin wool, but also alpaca-silk and cashmere. The collection is now available for purchase from YMC.

Last week we were forced to learn the hard way that we can’t rely on the local weather forecast in Berlin and London. The UK based accessories brand M.Hulot just landed its debut collection for YMC online. The high quality bags are known for the fine Italian leather that designer Anna Kreeger works into beautiful classic bags that don’t need more than just a little bit of color to attract the attention of bag lovers. Highsnobette is a big fan already! The whole collection is featured on the next page and is available for purchase over at YMC.

Stylish, functional, and modern clothing, that is how YMC founder Fraser Moss and Jimmy Collins describe the brand. Formed in 1995 YMC has became a highly significant design label for both men and women. During WOMAN shows in Paris, YMC presented its collection for Spring/Summer 2013 and conviced with much love for detail.

During Paris Fashion Week we took a look at the women’s fashion, showcased at the WOMAN show in the beautiful setting of Bastille Design Center. After the success of MAN shows during Paris men’s fashion weeks and men’s market weeks in New York, we can now share a few images from the event in Paris to give you an idea of what went down on Boulevard Richard Lenoir last week. The MAN (and now also WOMAN) team set up a very nice show with some up and coming designers as well as some top notch brands such as YMC, Folk, D.Efect, and Fred Perry.

As a tradeshow dedicated to men that are interested in small but qualitatively high brands, MAN hitted acceptance during the men’s fashion weeks and men’s market weeks in New York this year. With WOMAN, the team behind MAN now debuts the tradeshow with a selection of womens brands, looking to bring something different to a crowded market and working on the basis of Quality before Quantity. A select line-up of brands including YMC, Steve Mono, Waiting For The Sun and Fred Perry Laurel Wreath will show at the first WOMAN during Paris Fahion Week. Antoine Floch, who created MAN and WOMAN together with ‘The Imaginers’ owner and director Romain Bernardie-James and Olivier Migda, takes time out to tell us a little about this new challenge to set up a womens tradeshow, the Paris womenswear scene and working with creative agency Les Imaginers.
