We’re strictly in the big-fat-rumor stage but chat on the street is that a Dutch version of Vogue is in the making. Karin Swerink (her Twitter image above), who is currently the editor for Dutch Glamour, is being mentioned as the likely editor. Fueling the speculation are already-announced plans for Swerink to leave her post at Glamour (to be filled by Sabine Geurtson) on November 1st. And while this news is not part of the “official” gossip, given her Dutch heritage and superstar status, one would be hard pressed to guess someone other than Lara Stone landing the cover.

There are plans in the works for a Amy Winehouse posthumous album, called The Lioness: Hidden Treasures, which will include new material, reworked tracks from previous albums and covers. She also collaborates with several artists, including Nas on a track called “Like Smoke,” recorded in 2008. Just in time for the holidays the album will be released in early December.  For Spring 2012 Stolen Girlfriends Club takes inpiration from art and nature with a signature print derived from the stunning work of New Zealand fine artist Karl Maughan:

 The print presents a flawlessness that is both seductive and suspicious. Maughan’s hyper-real paintings of surrealist fantasy landscapes in an explosion of color are magnified and multiplied into an infinite maze of light and dark that dances on a slipstream of silk. The collection is built into two parts of intensely saturated color conveying all the heightened sensitivity of being in love and the dark midnight color presenting that moment when love is gone…

R.E.M. goes its quirky, artful route in presenting the video for the song “We All Go Back To Where We Belong.” The video features a uninterupted headshot of actress Kirsten Dunst, who expresses a mix of different emotions as she runs through various thoughts. (Always rooted for Dunst  since the days when everyone read Perez Hilton and he was ripping into her non-stop in a really vicious way over stuff like her outfits being less than stellar, and plus, her lil’ fangs are awesome.)

French street artists Supakitch and Koralie are filmed creating a wall art mural, titled “Euphorie.” I am reading elsewhere as I work on this post that the two are romantic partners as well and it seems they have often been filmed doing murals together. It’s quite amazing how they combine their vision.
