There were sightings of this stunning blood orange in many places at trade shows this week. The application into a slick pair of sneakers like the Gazelle, is just boss. Available at Premier and yes they’re boys but you know that never stopped us from admiring…

LFW: Christian Louboutin For Mary Kantrazou Spring 2012

LouboutinMaryK (4)

Looks like Christian Louboutin once again provided the footwear for Mary Kantrazou’s London Fashion Week runway show. Sandals featuring candy-colored studs on clear lucite and contrasting jewel-toned metallics were the dominant trends. So why are we featuring what appeared to be the lone snakeskin shoe shown in the show on the front page? Obviously ’cause we’re total suckers for a sexy foot tattoo!

See many more Chrisitan Louboutin shoes on the next page.

Sergio Rossi ‘Dedicated To Carine Roitfeld’ Sandals

Carine Shoe Side Shot

One of our favorite women of style is of course Carine Roitfeld, who in our opinion never skips a beat when it comes to all things stylish and fierce. Inspired by his admiration for Roitfeld, Sergio Rossi’s creative director, Francesco Russo, dedicated a pair of  sandals to her called “Dedicated to Carine Roitfeld.” Featuring contrasting suede, snake and patent leather textures in a “caligola” silhouette, all of which combined make us weak in the knees. Available exclusively at Barneys, New York. Top view on the flip. Images courtesy of Sergio Rossi.

Kreayshawn On Cover Of Complex

kreayshawn complex 3 540x348 Kreayshawn On Cover Of Complex

Kreayshawn (who we discover in the interview was born Natassia Zolo and whose mom is Russian–ha, shocker…not!)  is having a coming out party via a cover story in Complex magazine’s October/November issue, in a big feature called “About To Blow” that includes a photo shoot and interview. Here’s what the young lass has to say about her sudden stardom and the resulting chatter–much of it very nasty:

“People are so crazy that they’ll make their own fantasy life story of me. People have such passion loving me and such passion hating me, but it’s good to have passion either way. I never looked at myself as a marketable person. I just try to let my personality shine through. Do you think a 16-year-old girl gives a fuck about where I’m from or what I’ve done? No, she loves the songs.”

There’s a lot of interesting content and it’s definitely more revealing than a lot of bios done so far on her (apparently she’s beefing with half a dozen rappers, including Nicki Minaj!). As for what she wears in the shoot, lots of Jeremy Scott for Adidas, American Apparel and Nike, but no sign of Gucci, Gucci, Louis, Louis, Fendi, Fendi, Prada….

See the photo shoot and a video on the next page.

Alexander Wang x Starbucks

 Alexander Wang x Starbucks

Alexander Wang collaborated with Starbucks on a tee shirt, which is now available for purchase on Starbucks in multiple sizes for $85 (see above as worn by model seemingly very sad-faced about the coffee stain on her shirt). Starbucks initiated the idea as part of its 40-year anniversary celebration and reached out to three CFDA winners to create a design. Here’s what Wang had to say about the project:

“When Starbucks and the CFDA approached us with this project, the first thing we thought of what everyone tries to avoid—spilled coffee on a t-shirt. This turned into the design, hoping people would have fun with it.”

Billy Reid and Sophie Theallet also did tees. Interesting how Starbucks is trying to get all up into the fashion mix.

RDV NY: Ezra + Tuba Spring/Summer 2012

Highsnobette-Ezra Tuba ss 2012

This skirt by Ezra+ Tuba stopped us  in our tracks while we were checking out th4e Rendez-Vous trade show in New York, earlier this week. Worn with a simple tee and sandals this is a leather skirt to have (at least in our humble opinion). Created in  Instanbul by  sisters Ezra  and Çetin Tuba  the line exemplifies womanly glamour  at its best, even reflected in the lovely team of ladies representing the brand clad in heels, keeping the fierce until the end of the show.

On the next page take  a closer look at some more eye-catching pieces by Ezra +Tuba, with some of them featuring traditional silver wire Turkish embroidery. Enjoy!

TomFordBackstage LFW: Tom Ford Spring 2012 Backstage Sneak Peek Images

This image is going viral on all the fashion sites–it’s a backstage shot taken at Tom Ford’s London Fashion week show, taken by runway model Candice Swanepoel, who Twittered it (and indeed it is still there on her page as I type this). This is a big deal because Ford has set himself up as the anti-internet designer who wants nothing to do with anything instantaneous and is very protective when it comes to images being taken at his shows. Then again, if no attempt is being made to remove the image one has to wonder if its leak wasn’t given the downlow okay.

On the next page, see Swanepoel in a Tom Ford black lace dress she recently wore to an event honoring Mario Testino. Next to her in the first image is model Rosie Huntington wearing Burberry.

We blogged on our 10 favorite white shoe styles from New York Fashion Week yesterday, but judging from this amazing pair, London could give NYC a run for its money.

Mara Hoffman’s Spring 2012 presentation for New York Fashion Week was amazing. She’s pretty much the woman when it comes to creating chilled yet chic tribal looks that us Snobettes tend to favor. Plus, she “gets” accessories, which, major bonus points !
