We don’t obsess over price much around here. Even if you don’t have a lot you scrimp and save because it means that much or it’s just not possible but there’s still joy in gazing upon a beautifully made item. But still, can’t say I’ve ever heard of a $20,000 Louis Vuitton bag. I don’t know, somehow I want more–like perhaps a live mini unicorn that comes out and does a little tap dance on the table when you are so inclined to have him do so.

But nope, no unicorn, just a very rare “Les Extraordinaires” bag from a Louis Vuitton 2005 runway show, designed by Marc Jacobs, natch. And it costs $99 to ship.

Definitely the cuff theme is popping up quite a bit as a trend in handbags these days. And even without the cuffs, there’s something very S&M decadent about Louis Vuitton’s bag offerings for Autumn. All of them would be pitch perfect (we guess) for those high-end fetish parties, which are whispered to occur on some kind of mysterious, circuit in various posh Manhattan apartments for those lucky enough to be on the invite list. Nicole Brundage’s latest ‘décolletés’ pumps for Autumn 2011–the “Dietrich,” “Trinity” (above) , and the ”Ducky” are the kind of black pumps  the Snobs stand behind. Sleek , well made, plus grown and sexy to the core. On the flip  view the “Ducky” and the “Dietrich.”

London-based design duo Bitching and Junkfood launched just a year ago, and by heck have they come proper yet again. Doing it their way has seen the project grow to include collaborations with big name U.K. retailers such as Urban Outfitters, as well as two in-house labels one of which is Remade. The label is heavily influenced by blog culture and looks scooped off the streets surrounding their East London studio. Their Spring/Summer 2011 draws heavily on 90s rock and death metal trends for inspiration–which us Snobette’s adore! Their Remade Levi’s Bitchy shorts already have a cult following, as seen on the lovely Eliza Doolittle (above via Ohhlalook).

Each pair of the high-waisted shorts, are cut on the body to guarantee a flattering fit (wave goodbye to the camel toe!) and they use only 501 for girls to ensure a consistent fit. This season sees the basic style advanced and made somewhat more playful by introducing suspenders, fringing, feathers and bleaching. Jackets and shirts are adorned with rivets and eyelets and rock tee-shirts are re-cut with mesh panels. Everything is handmade in their Hackney East London studio, with every piecea one off so the coast is clear from the masses.  More goodies on flip! –Danity Blame.

The Fall / Winter 2011 offering is anchored by a MadeMe x Schott NYC Custom Women’s Perfecto Motorcycle Jacket. A perfect marriage between two New York brands, the collaboration is given some unique flair with a cotton Liberty of London Edenham Floral Pattern Lining to contrast with the black, lambskin leather exterior. The jacket is made in the USA and features trademark Schott NYC details in a slim, cropped custom fit. While motorcycle jackets have been a staple of the MadeMe label for several seasons, this marks the first partnership with Schott NYC, originators of the asymmetrical zipped leather motorcycle jacket.

Also new for fall is theTeam Jacket, a first of its kind for MadeMe. Crafted from Canadian Melton Wool, the jacket uses tonal leather appliqué on the front and back in lieu of traditional leather sleeves, for a wearable, versatile look. With the phrase “¿Quién Es Esa Niña?” (which means “Who’s that girl?”) embroidered over the right breast instead of owner’s name and a rose stitched on the back, the Team Jacket is infused with a flirtatious personality and comes in both black and red. The collection is rounded out by two printed Japanese chambray shirts. Available in both polka dot and floral prints, the button-down shirts feature two breast pockets and a slim fit, the perfect incarnation of MadeMe’s menswear-as-womenswear look.
