A lot about this photo by city life photographer Chris Arnade, shot on on a Bushwick (neighborhood in Brooklyn) Street this past weekend, epitomizes Summer 2011 in Brooklyn. For, one, the model’s au naturale curly locks–as a fan of fresh new style it’s been so amazing and fun to see the many fly black chicks around this borough letting their hair do its own thing.

And then, too, her sandals. We’ve been talking up the flats trend but its the t-strap she’s sporting in this image that has it all over ever other silhouette. It may just be a Brooklyn thing, but hey, that’s where we live! Spotted at Animalny.

We’re always happy to see sneakers and clothes by the powerhouse brands like Nike and Adidas made for the ladies, but raise your hand  if you feel like us females are just a side thought for the most part. Still traumatized from last week when I identified Rachel Zoe’s Resort collection as belonging to Tory Burch, thereby epitomizing the “who-are-these-scary-people” blogger stereotype, but oh well, I live to frighten another day and with this post attempt to fix the boo-boo by posting the real Tory Burch Resort 2012 line.

It was rumored that Angelina Jolie would be featured in Louis Vuitton’s next campaign and now we have the images, as snapped by Annie Leibovitz in Cambodia’s Siam Reep province. In the pic featured here, Jolie, we’re told, is makeup free (really?), wearing her own clothes and the featured “Alto” bag belongs to her as well.

On a low budget or what, LV?? Ha, we kid, we kid. Obviously a statement is being made here about what matters to Jolie as the name of the campaign is “Core Values.” Not sure how that connects with her using her own stuff, but Cambodia as many of you know is the birth place of her very first son, Maddox, who, as first children often do, set Jolie down a very changed life’s path and opened her eyes to and inspired her to become an activist on the issue of world poverty.
