As we begin to channel those warm summer days when all you want to do is lounge, we had to feature these neon orange by Karen Walker. Available at Forwardforward.
The perfect summer bra featuring very current fashion color, beige, energized with hot pink trim, minus all the heavy padding, which just just seems wrong under a casual tee or tank top. Purchase it in small, medium or large for $52 at Barney’s.

Beyonce’s first single, “Run The World (Girls)” from her upcoming album, “Four,” has arrived. The song is fine and the theme, women empowerment, is fairly standard issue for her. A few things to look out for: product placement shot of Converse One Star sneakers at 1:21, hyenas on chains at 1:56, Beyonce giving a pixilated finger at 2:05 and also flashing her stiletto mani at 2:24, making this nail profile an official pop star trend.
How long does this Cannes Film Festival go on for?? Because frankly I’m easily bored and have just about had it with the parade of expensive long dresses, but now that I started I feel obliged to finish. One thing I’ve learned, a lot of super models attend this event. Lots! It’s like a Karl Lagerfeld show–so perhaps this is a French theme whereby beauty is not just viewed as fleeting and shallow, it’s a necessity of life.
Above model Karolina Kurkova who exhibits why she makes the big bucks. After the flip, a Carine Roitfeld spotting (she’s really into lace this year!), plus Kursten Dunst, Naomi with her badboy Russian boyfriend, Laetitia Casta, Milla Jovovich and a bunch more.
Playboy has an upcoming magazine feature whose focus will be the greatest Jordan shoes of all time. The clever twist is that Playboy bunnies will be modeling the shoes. In this promo video, bunny Francesca Frigo plays the part of one of Spike Lee’s greatest creations, Mars Blackmon, who first appeared in his first big film She’s Gotta Have It, and then later as part of a series of Jordan commercials. It’s very cute visually, but oh boy, the acting is over-the-top awful. Via Hypebeast. Styled by our own Radio Rose, who also styled Amber Rose in King.
We’ve given Gwyneth Paltrow a hard time in the past and think no matter what her private personality may be, her public persona can often come across as very privileged-rich girl. In the interest of fairness, we present this video from a recent appearance on the Graham Morton Show. Maybe she just feels more relaxed among her husband’s people but she’s actually pretty entertaining here, hawking her cookbook, and at 6:56 we even get to see her rap a few bars from a NWA song.
And for an extra bonus, at the very end of the clip, Lady Gaga briefly appears, wearing a flowy gown and giant headpiece by a “young Irish designer called Saoirse O’Reilly.” Via Fashionfoigras.
Set to be released in July, designer Elie Saab launches his first fragrance. Elie Saab ”Le Parfum” was conceived with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. The top notes are floral and woody, comprising of cedarwood, orange blossoms, jasmine and patchouli. The designer wanted to blend memories of of his Lebanese origin to the rich textures and glamorous appeal of his collections. Via Vogue France.
Inspired by the 1996 film’ From Dusk ‘Til Dawn’, the Surface to Air Sping 2011 collection film features Daisy Lowe’s interpretation of the snake dance originally performed by Salma Hayek in the film. Enjoy!
On a scale of 1 to 10, Gucci goes for maximum Gucci-ness with its Autumn 2011 catalog, replete with models hanging all over each other, dripping sex, decadence and money. Natch, we adore. And we see you (and applaud you), Gucci, using a woman of color– Joan Smalls–in your campaign. Via Fashiongonerogue.
