Career – Background

“I performed in every single school play I could, but I was raised to be an athlete – I played volleyball professionally which taught me to never ever give up and be the best at what I do. Despite this, there was no ‘plan B.’ I am an actress and a performer.”

Main awards

“I’ve won them all, I just haven’t received them yet.”

What’s next

“I’m presently working on my debut feature film projects and I am in a process of developing a one-woman show for off-Broadway.”

Alternative projects

“As far as I am concerned, life is all about Shakespeare and Rock ‘n Roll but looking at and making any kind of art makes me happy. I love to travel, snowboard and go swimming, too.”

Favorite Book

“Shantaram by Gregory Roberts is one of those books that changed my life. It’s a masterpiece – a true story of love in life, passion and adventure.”

Shoes (flat or high)

“I am obsessed with high top sneakers. I also wear army boots, and yes only flats.”

Jewelry (lots or none)

“Big, bold, chunky bracelets and 3-finger-wrap rings. More is better…”

Hair (natural or s)

“Long and natural.”

Public style

Grungy and messy “Holly Golightly.”

Private style

Romantic tomboy.

Fashion tip

“Don’t try to be someone else, dress to express how you are feeling. Be your own fashion rebel and don’t care what anyone else thinks as long as you are happy that is only one thing that matters.”

Good habits

“Having a big mouth, being a health freak… I am a vegetarian.”

Bad habits

“Having a big mouth and watching trashy TV.”

She loves

Cinema and theatre, New York, traveling, old movies, books, extreme sports, the snow, and snowboarding.

She hates

Summers in New York, men in bad shoes, boring people.

Guilty Pleasures

“Shopping, Boys with tattoos, watching guys who cook for me, old cars and bikes.”

She is obsessed with

Skin, (the color) black, fashion, sneakers, great movies and books.

Favorite dress

Black, draped, and open in the back.

Favorite city

“I’m married to New York, but have a love affair with London.”

Favorite music

“I love music. Music is needed like air. I don’t leave my house without an ipod. It really is a mix of everything. 50’s 60’s rock, reggae and world. I am a huge fan of Anouk, Rosin Murphy, Beth Ditto, dEUS, Broken Bells, Gorillaz, Jamie Lidell. Love, love The Dead Weather, Nirvana, Iggy Pop, GlassJaw, Radiohead and more… oh I think James Blake melts my heart…”

Favorite drink

Starbucks sweetened venti iced green tea.

Favorite movie

“I think Bernardo Bertolucciwas the first one who stole my heart with Stealing Beauty. Then there is True Romance that showed me how to be a bad ass. Harold and Maude taught me how to live my life, Breakfast at Tiffany’s taught me how to love, Annie Hall made me move to New York and there is Fargo….oh God, I could go on and on about it.”

Favorite places to shop

“Thirft stores all over the city and in the Hamptons. You can get those little amazing pieces for nothing and make it unique. I’m also fan of Seven New York, Barneys, Oak NYC, TopShop, All Saints. For years have been fan of eBay deals and ASOS.

Favorite designers

“Tom Ford brings that sensuality in a woman like nobody else, and of course classic Chanel and the amazing Rick Owens aesthetics are the closest to my heart. Anyone like Jeremy Scott, Bernhard Willhelm, Henrik Vibskov, Romance was Born, ComplexGeometries, Martin Margiela, Kris van Assche, and yes, Alexander Wang.”

First thing in the morning

“I must start my day with a good breakfast, if not I will consider that a bad day.”

Last thing before bed

“I click my heels together 3 times, it sparks a little and then its time for some wonderland time.”
