Video: Anna Wintour ‘Bloomberg Game Changers’ Preview

31 March 2011, 21.58 | Posted in Business, celebrity | No comments »

Anna Wintour will be profiled on “Bloomberg Game Changers,” at 8pm est tonight. Interesting how Wintour has been spending a lot more energy raising her profile it seems ever since The Devil Wore Prada. Perhaps she looked around the landscape and concluded that being a celebrity is a part of doing business these days. If you want to watch, it’s being shown on Bloomberg Televsion, which, as much reality TV, basketball games and various and sundry other junk I watch, can’t say that channel rings any bell so good luck with that. To be honest, based on the preview it doesn’t look all that juicy, with canned comments like, “Anna is the single most influential person in the world of fashion, etc, blah blah.” A lot of people mindlessly repeat that line, but really? Is she? She’s the editor of one magazine that receives very mixed reviews in the fashion world so I’m not so sure that’s accurate. Via Racked.

Tokidoki ‘Unicorno’ Vinyl Toy Series

UnicornTokidoki Tokidoki Unicorno Vinyl Toy Series

Not too many vinyl toys are designed to speak to women (though granted, some end up talking to us anyone), but Tokidoki’s “Unicorno” set is clearly made with the ladies in mind. I mean, horseys on their own with their long flowing manes and big powerful snorting heads are amazing and awe inspiring, but a pastel-colored unicorn with (presumably) magical powers that flies AND has a giant horn growing out of its head?? We die of orgasmic overdose. This set includes 10 different figures, priced at $6.95 and launches April 22nd. For more details and close-ups on the unicorns, visit Todokowai.

‘Le Petit Prince’ Special Edition Moleskine Notebooks

31 March 2011, 19.59 | Posted in Accessories, Stationery | No comments »

One of my all time favorite books  as a little girl was Antoine de Saint Exupéry’s “Le petit Petit Prince “or ” The Little Prince”, having read it again and again as an adult I’m continually inspired by the depth and poetry of this  story which has become universal.Translated in over 190 languages and has sold 80 million copies worldwide. In honor of the famous literary work Moleskin created a capsule collection of notebooksfeaturing:

“A customized cover, paper band and inside cover with art from the book. Small details capture the magic and idealism of the story. A custom “In case of loss” message reads “In case of loss, return to planet…” and “As a reward, my secret about…”.

Each Le Petit Prince special edition comes with a cut out scene from the story tucked away in the rear notebook pocket. The pocket size notebook includes a globe-shaped cut-out of the Prince enjoying a “perpetual sunset” on his home planet. The large size notebook includes a 3D landscape where the Prince meets the fox and tames him.

For more info visit Moleskine and watch the enchanting little intro video, Notebooks available in April 2011.
