NYFW: Susie Lau Of Style Bubble

Highsnobette-Susie Bubble nyfw

As bloggers are rising to what can be considered fame, in these parts due to our love of style, individual expression, we had to snap  a picture of Mademoiselle Susie Bubble, camera in hand at the Rachel Antonoff presentation this past week (images coming soon). As one fashion insider said “She understands the art of fashion.” The creativity, the glamour and the history that had us fall for fashion in the first place.

As brands are scrambling to get on the blogger train, sadly we find very few who get it and even sadder big companies are handing part of their exposure and heritage to many who might not even know who Lanvin was  had it not been for Alber Elbaz’s celebrity  affinity status. The beautiful thing though is that with time, the passionate just seamlessly leave the opportunists behind and hopefully Susie Lau will be  one of the select few we hope to see and hear about for a very long time. Detailed look of the pretty much flawless outfit on the flip. Images Highsnobette.

Bill Amberg X BoF ‘Calgary’ Bag: The Customer Decides!!!

 Highsnobette-CALGARY Bag Brown

In true snob fashion we ‘re notorious for looking at  high-end accessories, mostly bag,s and wishing the label had the wit to ask our opinion to decide which color scheme or material should be used to take a bag from  kind of okay to flat out fabulous. In one of the first crowd-sourcing experiments, luxury leather accessories designer Bill Amberg  partners with BoF’s Imran Amed to let you the customer chose which one of their  Calgary bags (unisex) should be produced.

Having recently laid eyes on the Calgary, we have to praise its handsomeness and the fact that is allows you to schlep around your technology and the occasional flats backups, while still boasting a silhouette that is sleek and compact allowing the lushness of materials to speak for themselves. The proposed assortment of black, patent grey and brown (on the flip) is of course stunning. Therefore, go here and decide which one you’d like to see made, while you can also purchase other versions like the croc that stole my heart here. View them on them all on the  next page.  Images courtesy of Bof.
