Designer Henry Holland for House of Holland takes the concept of exclusivity and turns it on its head with a camp presentation of his Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Featuring Dree Hemingway and Pixie Geldoff as his cohorts, the line is shown as though being presented on a tv-shopping-type program. Bonus points for both originality and laughs. Via Hearty.

Juicy like a ripe, red strawberry, Scarelett Johansson strikes some delicious poses in her latest spot for Moet & Chandon champagne. And the red lips….really, how many women can pull that color off as well as she does?

Nicki Minaj is on the cover of Black Book magazine, as photographed byAndrew MacPherson and styled by Brett Bailey. This is my favorite shoot of hers yet, largely because it lines up from a taste perspective with my personal preferences. And I’ve been concerned that Minaj has painted herself into a bit of a teeny bopper corner with her candy-colored wigs and wardrobe so it reassures me a bit to see her easily make the pivot to something more mature/sophisticated in this editorial–all for selfish reasons, would like to see Ms. Minaj around for a long, long time to come and think she needs to slowly head in this direction if she’s planning on longevity. Jack Purcell had a wife and her name was Helen. This Converse shoe was designed in her honor. The signature smile on the front cap is still there, but the tailoring is slimmed down for a woman’s more delicate foot. ”Helen”  is available at retail now in the wildly popular Marimekko print, plus three more solid colors.

Designed by Giorgia Iacobellis, Kamaeleon footwear is devoted to the rebellious colorful spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. There is even a warning to not wear the shoes in “non cool or non rock ’n’ roll places.” Designed in Berlin and made in Italy, the collection is comprised mostly of ankle boots and now has a Mediterranean twist with the introducton of espadrilles. Unsing shapes and deconstruction as a ground work for its collection, Japan-based Anrealage  designs a shirt made to become a sphere, while a trench becomes a cube. We had to also pause and admire the patchwork outerwear (above), with dried flower buttons and twisted seams. The Giuliano Fujiwara label  is adored in menswear for its precision,  innovation of silhouettes and textures coupled with simplicity. The women’s collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 is sleek in design with concepts of balance, attention to detail remainning consistent. Fujiwara’s version of femininity is one we definitely believe in. Christian Louboutin designed the footwear worn on Marchesa’s 2011 runway collection, presented during New York Fashion Week last week. Look closely, the shoes are actually mesh, not a first for Louboutin, but somehow these wonders take his gift for sexualizing toe cleavage to new heights. And then the nylons……..the heart breaks!
