Found this gap nail art on Kate Mimosa’s site (”I love laughing, Beyonce, drinking, shopping, $$$, and gold”<—–we’re right there with you, woman!) via U.K. nail artist Sophy Robson, who says about this design of which she is the orginator, ”This is def the new look,” and yep, we’re all over that, and are itching to go out and get some extensions just so we can sport it in time for Valentine’s Day! Via Lacquerista. (On a side note, does the hand belong to accessory designer Melody Ehsani??)
Bits and pieces of Rihanna’s latest video for her single, “S&M,” have been leaked and given the title and lyrics, there was some concern (on my part anyway) that the full video would be a step back in her evolution away from the dark and troubled Rihanna that had fueled her look and music during the “Chris Brown” era. And while this video tells us Rihanna hasn’t abandoned her past, what’s changed is now she owns it and is having a good time poking fun at it. It goes without saying the fashion is amazing–from her giant, red curly locks (note to Allure: “scary,” really??) to the white latex suit and newsprint dress, it’s all perfectly on point and a major visual treat. [UPDATE: My partner. SGP, points out that the furs are via Prada, which, yes, I concur that they are indeed experiencing a moment. Also, Perez Hilton makes a guest appearance....and not for nothing, Rih, but was that really necessary?]
Thanks to it being the kick off of couture runway last week, we were posting a lot of items via the fashion world’s best funded, but that doesn’t mean we ever forget our women, whose talent we see as just as big and meaningful and soulful. Case in point, accessory designer Melody Ehsani, whose custom three-finger ring was worn by Nick Minaj during her publicity tour in London last week. (Check out Minaj’s on-it taupe manicure, too!) We have one question, Mel, what’s the ring say??
