Nicki Minaj For Black Book Magazine

Nicki Minaj is on the cover of Black Book magazine, as photographed byAndrew MacPherson and styled by Brett Bailey. This is my favorite shoot of hers yet, largely because it lines up from a taste perspective with my personal preferences. And I’ve been concerned that Minaj has painted herself into a bit of a teeny bopper corner with her candy-colored wigs and wardrobe so it reassures me a bit to see her easily make the pivot to something more mature/sophisticated in this editorial–all for selfish reasons, would like to see Ms. Minaj around for a long, long time to come and think she needs to slowly head in this direction if she’s planning on longevity. See the rest of the shoot on the next page.

Honestly, I think she’ll wear anything someone puts on her as long as cameras are flashing.
