Miu Miu has put together a Valentine’s Day pack of goodies, highlighted by its first-ever iPad and iPod cases.  In cherry red or navy patent with red ruffle details, they’re perfect for the woman in your life who’s a girly-girl at heart…..and aren’t we all sometimes.  IPad case on the next page. Putting aside for now the clothing side of Jean Paul Gaultier’s Autumn 2011 collection (which seem to have received quite the positive reception), lay your eyes on the footwear featured in the runway presentation. While the platform silhouette is nothing new, the materials story elevates the shoe to one of pure delight. Armani Prive’s collection certainly did it’s part to contribute to what is emerging as a bit of theme for the Autumn 2011 couture collections–that is, slick ballroom, as defined by gorgeous gowns and dresses made a little badass via jewel-colored cigarette pants, pointy toed satin pumps (above right), architectural jewellery (above left) and clutches. And like they often are for Autumn, jewel tones were in abundance, but they weren’t rich and cozy as much as defiant and statement making (like Armani’s plum-colored lipstick). All in all, a nice pivot away from the punky looks that have dominated fashion…moving ahead while tipping a hat to that which brought you to party. More Armani accessories on the next page.

Spotted these on ME’s blog and had to share. Clearly Manolo Blahnik has pumped up the volume. While brass or gold tone chains would have been  in our opinion perfection, this is the definition of  hot in a sandal. Available at Neiman Marcus  .

Nicki Minaj premiered the video for her single, ”Moment 4 Life,” from her Pink Friday album on MTV tonight. It features Drake, as Prince Charming in a story line with a Cinderella theme. We also meet Minaj’s newest alter ego, Martha, playing the role of her fairy godmother. There’s also lots of fashion, with a sparkling pair of Louboutins getting a starring role. But after that, I got nothing–so spill, all you in-the-know Barbz and Kens, and clue us in on some of the other featured designers! The lovely, delectable and newly single Scarlett Johansson fronts another campaign for the Spain-based Mango, this time for the Spring/Summer 2011 line.
