Nestled in a quiet street in NYC’s Soho,  the JNBY boutique is a China-based label designed by a collaborative of artists and designers. Highly modern and functional, each collection is made to highlight the individuality of the wearer by being customizable its own way. Whether it’s a removable sleeve or a slanted hem that can be wrapped, this label provides the elements that take apparel from run of the mill ordinary to modern with an edge. Adore the wolves and other wild beasts used in the imagery for Lanvin’s Pre-Autumn 2011 collection, plus the line features velvet–the new “it” fabric, however, Lanvin and we are still fighting over its affair with H&M. Yes it was exiting and glittzy and fun while it lasted, but oh at what cost to the heart.

Available at select H&M locations in Sweden on February 3rd, is the 11 piece collection designed by “modebloggerska” Swedish fashion blogger Elin Kling . This marks the first time the mega brand  collaborates with a fashion blogger. Being totally biased  in my love of all things blogger related and my longtime love affair with Stockholm, I will admit that on a sleekness of fashion and simplicity of design this is probably my favorite H&M collaboration so far. Each one of the pieces easily find a home into any woman’s wardrobe. There’s nothing gimmicky or even super trendy about it , which I love! Nail artist Sophy Robson was inspired by nail art she spotted while traveling through Asia, made some tweaks and came up with the design you see above. We’ve been waiting for a next-level take on the Ruffian and it figures that a star like Robson would bring it to the world first.

Nicki Minaj lands another magazine cover. This time it’s V Magazine’s issue No. 69, where the headline declares “The Birth Of A Star.” It’s been interesting to watch Minaj’s rise over this past year and the magazine covers she has landed, with this one indicating she’s becoming one that the fashion world is beginning to watch. Certainly her timing is good; just when the media was beginning to tire of Lady Gaga’s over-the-top fashion statements, in strolls Minaj riding the wave of publicity from her Pink Friday album launch. Will she have the style chops to keep the fickle fashionistas intrigued? We shall see.

Rihanna recently posted up an image on her Twitter account of herself and Nicki Minaj while filming the video for another single from Minaj’s Pink Friday album, called “Fly,” which we’ll see later this month. Was out of the country for a minute, but I see that Foxy Brown has entered the fray (and should you click on the link, be prepared to be a little surprised by how Fox is looking these days) in the battle between Minaj and Lil Kim with a song swiping at Lil Kim. It’s not exactly a new development as the two haven’t been friends for many a year and Lil Kim especially has been very public in her disdain for Foxy.
