WSJ took a look at the rising trend of heel height  in recent seasons, and for Spring 2011, photographed ten of the tallest giraffes shown on the runways. The Pierre Hardy pair shown on this page has a heel that measure 11.5 centimeters, but it’s not the tallest. Somehow we missed the intense fabulousness that was the Laquan Smith Spring 2011 show, entitled “A Storybook Path,” but thankfully our sisters in crime at 2BD did not. Prada Made In India

Inspired by her father’s love of  global craftsmanship, Miuccia Prada launches a series of “Prada  Made in…” projects, for which items are created using artisan expertise from all over the world. Now, Prada did not go as far as A Peace Treaty in naming each product after the artisan who actually sewed it, but did  create special  labels that honor each country. Of course the Snobettes  applaud  theconcept of highlighting well made apparel and accessories  in a world where fast and mass tend to prevail. On the next page a look at the workmanship from India, Scotland, Peru and Japan.
