On the next page a closer look at the store and the opening party featuring Henry Holland, Oswald Boateng (oh my!) and many more…

MTVstyle has a detailed post on Selita Ebank’s wings, featured in the Kanye West music film, “Runaway.” They’re designed by Martin Izquierdo, who also designs the wings for Victoria Secret’s runway shows. He’s a bit of a wings expert as he also did the wings for the Broadway play, “Angels in America!” See more detail and read a q&a with the designer at MTVstyle.

Kate Moss is featured on the cover of rocker Bryan Ferry’s latest album, “Olympia,” as photographed by Adam Whitehead. Moss is one of a long line of beauties featured on Ferry’s albums, most from when he was a member of Roxy Music. According to Dailymail, one of the covers featured Jerry Hall, who Ferry proposed to. They were engaged until she was swept away by Mick Jagger. On choosing Moss, Ferry commented, “I normally use unknown women–it’s nice to discover girls for that kind of thing. But this time I thought it would be a good idea to ask Kate, because she’s a great femme fatale of our era.” Additional black and white images from the shoot via Nowness on the next page.

Not very long ago photographer Ellen Von Unwerth complained of the lack of freedom when it comes to fashion photography, in her estimation because of dictation by conservative advertisers. This is not apparently an issue at Vice Style, where the shoot “Fire Walk With Me,” featured all the taboos Unwerth mentioned and then some. The theme of the editorial is your basic lives gone off the tracks. Shot by Jonathan Leder, it’s a nostalgic look at the ’60s, albeit one filled with anguish, a snapshot of a time when getting high and drunk and having same sex relationships was still a no-no and best kept secret. Inspired by its well-received Resort 2011 collection, Chanel will be offering an accompanying Côte d’Azur” beauty collection, incliding a new shade of nail polish featured here called “Riva,” a pale sky blue, which along with similar pale shades (like Alex Wang’s mint) are shaping up as a big color story for Spring. This shade is limited, goes on sale December 1st, and will be sold exclusively at Chanel boutiques. Via Lacquerized. Another image of a model wearing the polish on the next page.

Mia Jafari has made a name for herself with her fun and colorful scarves. For her Spring 2011 collection titled “Ladybirds ♥ Strawberry Cosmo’s,” we get to enjoy the same colorful prints, adapted to a capsule collection of silk dresses. Effortlessly the line has the power to make a serial-all-black-everything like yours truly, embrace bright hues made with Jafari’s signature blend of Eastern embroidery and digital prints. Exclusively available at ln-cc is the Autumn/Winter 2010 collection of Central Saint Martins alum Tze Goh. Using only white, the collection deconstructs the idea of the tee- shirt by molding and layering fabrics. We’ve always loved the idea of winter white, and this collection has the bonus of a very modern urban feel that we just could not ignore. Take a closer look ar Tze Goh’s collection on the next page and enjoy his q&a with John Skelton.

China Fashion Week is in progress, an event that includes the Eon Fashion Award, a makeup and styling contest. The hair and makeup is dazzling, clearly more the realm of the performance world than the runway (thus the contest aspect). Still, great for inspiration and check an image on the next page, which perhaps is making a statement or two on the Western world’s view of China as one big cash register. Via Zimbio.
