Based in Belgium, the duo  behind Filles à Papa  (translation: daddy’s girls) were  inspired by their love of fashion and the energy of New York City, combined with the bling  of Vegas, the laid back street style of Los Angeles and the seductive nights of Ibiza. Plasticladies, “a blog dedicted to dolls,” has been getting lots of love in image-obsessed Tumblr world since it launched in August. Featured here is just one of the site’s many dolls, whose looks range from super models and pop stars to chilled-out Boho girls. The realest fake you will ever see. And in addition to discovering that Barbie has picked up a whole bunch of new, more interesting friends since last we hung, I also found out that designer Jason Wu is a fan and participant! He’sd the head doll designer for Integrity Toy’s “Fashion Royalty” line, which “celebrates the glamour and the excitement of the fashion industry.” More after the flip.
