Agata Ruiz De La Prada did not disappoint for spring 2011 as she stayed true to creating the kind of humorous , show-stopping apparel that she is famous for. Today we focus on the shoes, which are of course so fun we could not ignore! More on the next page via wire.

Contrary to the video soundtrack, the  show opened to an upbeat electronic version of the Beach Boys very soft  ” God only Knows,” which set the tone for what seems to be  G-star’s  ongoing desire to brighten what has been a  very dark industrial, edge. The looks start from stark white,  go into khaki and finish with navy. Lots of great blazers for men, dhoti denim silhouettes, as well as a show-stopping parachute dress. On the next page, a few of our favorite looks as well as a close -up of publicist  Michelle Wang’s signature  make-up which  would have been a very cool choice for the runway.

TopShop Unique showed yesterday during London Fashion Week, and after a week of generally staid hair and makeup choices at the NY shows, TopShop’s big hair and cherry red lips was a refreshing change. As for the rest, the futuristic hippy looks were best, especially the satin dresses and tops featuring warm graphics and the the shoes in general (tassles plus lucite!) were very different and neat-o.
