Wrapping up our coverage of Capsule trade show in New York last week, we bring you some looks from Boxing Kitten’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection. In a shift away from the super bright colors, which have been a theme, designer Maya Lake’s offerings included some black and white blouses, her very first solid-colored garments. And even with the dress shown here, the African-inspired pattern play remains, but again, there’s a shift away from vibrancy, which was very much in step with what we were seeing on the floor of the show in general–colors more subdued with newness generated by silhouettes, fabric innovation, and detailing (which is why I think the Prada rumor is true–bright color just aint “it” for Spring).

These beauties are by a Hong Kong designer who goes by the name Dithzzappear. Numbers are limited and they are all handmade! Influenced by the Dutch painter Pieter Mondrian, she is not the first to use Mondrian’s art to create fashion items. Nike produced a pair of Dunks in the famous primary colors, as well as a Nike SB back pack, then there was the Vans pair, Yves Saint Laurent also released a collection based on the block colors and shapes, and not forgetting the Patrick Cox shoes! Art will always be a huge influence on fashion and I for one will not tire of Mondrian’s classic pieces- in any form! ZJK.

I’ve had my calculator Casio watch for a few years now, but Adidas have just released their own version complete with neon colours. At £50 it’s quite expensive, but if you want to move on from the geek chic’ glasses phase, this watch is it! And not forgetting, using it to work out how much money you’ll have left after you buy it! Available from Asos. ZK.

What I loved about the Pucci Spring 2011 collection was not the fact that it showcased some new edgy concept, but that on the contrary it brought back the nostalgia of the high-end gypsy with a sexy rock and roll edge. The blues and whites remind me of the beyond dreamy Cavo Tagoo hotel in Mykonos while the gowns with knee high toe-less boots illustrate that slightly disheveled glamour that just make me weak in the knees. Because really isin’t that why most of us fell in love with fashion? Not for the reality of what you can afford, but for the the glamour, the aspiration to dream bigger, go farther and looking fierce while doing it. Kudos Peter Dundas! Check out the runway here, plus lots of images on the flip.

Loving the Spring 2011 D&G collection that manages to make the flower garden theme sexy and not too junior. The mixing of all those flowers is surprisingly bearable for an all black fiend like yours truly.Enjoy!

Selfridges London has recently unveiled the world’s largest shoe department. Spanning across 35,000 square feet, it will be home to more than 4,000 pairs of shoes from 120 brands. It has been three years in the planning and by the looks of it the wait has been worth it. It will also stock 30 exclusive styles specially commissioned by Selfridges. If you are going to attempt to look around the fortress of sling backs, kitten heels, killer heels and everything else in between, I suggest you wear some comfortable shoes, it may take you a while. It’s hard to believe from these pictures that Naomi Campbell has been modeling for 25 years. In her latest shoot (heavily influenced I feel by the hit show ‘True Blood”) for Interview magazine shot byMert Alas and Marcus Piggott, she takes on the gruesome role of hunter with her prey being a naked, bloody and rather handsome young guycorpse (depends on how morbid you are). Amid all the controversy that has surrounded Campbell this past year, this shoot reminds us all of why she is one of the worlds first and last supermodels. Images from Styleite. More on the flip AK.

Been hearing this was coming and now it has most officially arrived: MTTM tees for the fellas! There are three styles and the one on this page is easily my fave. It takes its inspiration from one of my all time favorite Jay-Z (clearly pre-Beyone lockdown) songs, “Girls, Girls, Girls,” and is personalized with the M.O.B. flavor, stating, “I got this MOB bitch that don’t cook or clean but she dress her ass off and her walk is mean.” Lol, may have to get that one for myself! Who’s doing the modeling? He’s rapper Curren$y of J.E.T.S, who the M.O.B. ladies describe as “young, hot, rebellious, and confident.” Nice! More of him and the other two styles after the flip.

Asics and Sanrio Hello Kitty have come together again for a limited edition offering that will arrive just in time for the holidays. The style here is called the “Euphoria,” at it will be available at Sanrio and Sanrio.com only, beginning in late November. A couple more pics after the flip, courtesy of Asics.

No surprise that Rihanna is jumping all over the up-and-coming trouser trend. The woman just has that eye for what’s next. Does anyway recognize the tee? I thought it was part of Style’s 10th anniversary collection, but I don’t think so. Check out a closeup on her copper-colored (or maybe taupe?) mani on the next page, plus one a better view of her hat. Via Ultimaterihanna.
