For those of you salivating over rumors of Married to the M.O.B.’s demise, put your drool in check because the brand is alive and well and throwing parties celebrating its latest collaboration, this time with outerwear company Burton. We covered this partnership back in August, but the dinner party last night at Macao in SoHo, marks the official press rollout of a collection that includes boards, jackets, pants and hats. The whole crew was there (check out images on the next page of MOB designer, Leah McSweeney’s  hot lil’ brother, Daniel, who is modeling for Red!), the food was excellent and and so was DJ Jasmine Solano. As always, McSweeney has lots planned, including a  fun tee-shirt collabo, plus……a television appearance that is certain to be a howl–stay tuned for details! The amazing Maison Martin Margiela launches an eyewear collection with Cutler & Gross set to be available for sale this coming November with styles handmade in Italy, comprising two groups: “Anatomic,” focused on large, enveloping shapes; and “Wrong Size,” with purposely ill-fitting lenses. At first glance all I saw was Jason (above).  The hair, the smile, the light conversation, I was just standing there, staring just goo-goo eyed, imagining how beautiful our kids would be . Then I remembered I was there to view a line, sigh….Ok so Trina Turk put together cute sets under the theme of “Palm Springs Eternal “ to present her Spring/Summer  ’11 collection, which if anything shows that the fashion show formula can be transformed into something , visually  interesting and blog ready and very cost effective if planned well. Much-buzzed about, emerging designer Mandy Coon is getting lots of energy for her “Ginny Bunny Bag,” which just arrived at Opening Ceremony and has sold out already elsewhere. The velvet is pictured here but it’s also available in leather (but c’mon, really, it has to be the velvet!). More images after the flip.

Lots of folks are excited about Madewell’s collaboration with Alexa Chung, which will launch tomorrow. There have been some sneak peak images and here’s another one in video format. Via Racked.

We’re told by the reps in charge that Hermes is refurbishing its Madison Avenue, New York, store with the goal of adding an entire floor dedicated to leather goods. The floor will also feature an in-house leather work station that can restore your Hermes bag if its looking a little worn and torn. The opening of the floor will feature the U.S. launch of Hermes limited edition “So Black” collection. Expect this to happen sometime next week, in the middle of fashion week, natch. Given the whole fur theme in fashion for Autumn this year, somehow this two-headed teddy bear just made sense.
