Jonathan Simkhai Spring/Summer 2011

With  flawless  set displays at the Griffin, Jonathan Simkhai presented his Spring/Summer 2011 collection yesterday. Styled by Susan Joy with a ’50s “ecolière” twist,  the pieces reflect his skill of adapting menswear into women’s wear. We loved the gold snake shorts and of course the leather bustiers as well as the various trompe l’oeil accessories like the belt (above)  resembling a shirt tied around the waist. Well edited  separates  that make a wardrobe go from ordinary to fabulously chic and fun!
