Hi everyone, Lois here, reporting from the Pool trade show in Vegas. Meet Joe Chu, designer for Pet Shops Girl, who, hands down was working the best look I saw all day. For real, I had to hold myself back from ripping her “Chanel” jacket off her body and running top speed for the exit, screaming, “Mine, mine, mine!!!” Later I will feature looks from her line–this was her first time at Magic, her company is based in Taiwan, but for now, check out some more of her outfit on the next page. Almost died from the force of falling in love. I swear.

We’ve covered Swedish Hasbeen clog company before so it was fun to visit them at Magic’s new Platform section, which is dedicated entirely to shoe brands. This brand has a generated a ton of boutique buzz, in part because of its interesting back story, which you can read about here. Of course it also helped that Sarah Jessica Parker wore the shoes in the most recent Sex and the City movie! You’re looking at a spring lace-up boot on this page, but this brand is all about classic profiles so changes from season to season now are more about minor modifications. More on the next page.

Copenhagen fashion week inaugurated their mile- long catwalk this week-end along Stroget street, a popular shopping street in Copenhagen. Allowing fashion’s presentation  to be accessible to all. As much as we have read about it, and seen pictures, this video gives you a more accurate view of the scale. Amazing!

As I mentioned yesterday I am in Vegas at the Magic show. Yesterday I visited the Pool portion of the show, which is dominated by young, indie brands. Jeffrey Campbell doesn’t fit that mold but somehow the free-flowing energy of the space does suit it. In this image you’re getting a look at JC’s most popular shoe at the moment, the “Lita,” and you’re seeing it in a colorway that as of now hasn’t been revealed to the world! It’s being modeled by adorable JC rep, Bridgette, who told me she has a blog called Fashionlikeheroin, where she often gives sneak peeks of upcoming product. Blogger buddies MISS attended the ASR trade show and liked what they saw at the Roxy booth, giving the denim shorts shown here top grades. I like ‘em, too! Visit MISS for more ASR coverage. Inspired by Richard Serra’s artwork, Dawid Tomaszewski  Spring/Summer 2011  is  a succession of voluminous textures and patterns. Architectural but somehow,  not rigid or stiff. We fell for Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2010 collection and his Autumn offerings made us weak in the knees. This bra top, a great layering piece is now available at Browns.

The boat shoe we can say has had a nice summer, and Sperry Top-Sider  as one of the flagship brands of the category has done a decent job providing fun colors and textures. For the fall they clearly are pumping up the volume with styles that go from bling-street to earthy bohemian a la Minnetonka. My streetwear love says the S”anta Maria” with  sequins and leopard (above)  are a nice way to take the girl away from her Chucks or Blazers, but common sense says the fringed “Addison” will probably resonate more with the Sperry girl.
