Nail artist Sophy Robson is flat out killing me with her designs. Killing. This one she did for Dansk magazine.

Not a big fan of scanning–my computer just isn’t capable of doing the heavy lifting it requires to be done properly, but this editorial was lovely and I couldn’t find any other site featuring it so here you go. Chanel Iman (who I once humiliatingly identified as the daughter of Iman–I swear our readers are so sweetly patient with our mistakes!) is the star attraction of this six-page Allure spread entitled “The Other Woman,” with the theme being the play of two big looks for fall–full, frothy fem looks and menswear-inspired fashion–against each other. All the rest after the flip.

Titled” Oneness Universe” Christina Arend’s Arrondissement Aq1 collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 revolves around the theme that everything is interconnected. Every piece of the collection connects with the accessories to create a sense of unity in design and aesthetic. Modern and sleek this collection ranks high on our list. On the next page take a look at the Arrondissement Aq1 Autumn/Winter 2010.

One of our fave South Asian blogs, Masala Chai, talks to Kali Arulpragasm of Superfertile about her heritage, inspiration and more…
M: How would you describe your aesthetic? What influences it?
Kali: My parents are very proud of their Tamil heritage. I was taught very traditional values and all the goodness that came from our heritage…culture, music, good spicy foods, perfumes, all the smells and colours, costumes, decorations, jewels and festivals…I was taught to be aware and be proud of what South Asia offered to the world. I was born in London, grew up mostly here, Yet I’m drawn to the old India, and the parts which interest me are the parts that are not trying to be something else. Pretence is boring, I try to be honest with everything I do. More on the flip.

Inspired by the hunters and their prey, Brasil-based Neon, created by Dudu Bertholini and Rita Comparaton reminds us that fashion more than anything should be fun. A succession of colorful outfits representing owls, bats, elephants, some very cool fish- inspired footwear and much more. A closer look at Neon on the next page via Rfw.

Given her unabashed love of makeup, Kim Kardashian is pretty much the perfect face for Allure. Inspired by Elizabeth Taylor, the cover and shoot are very beautiful, but then Allure always seems to relish and do its best work when the cover star oozes sex appeal, whether because she’s blessed with curves or just possesses that vibe. As for the interview, no new ground broken–how could there be given her day job? Though my favorite quote from the article is Kim’s feelings about body hair, “I’m Armenian, so of course I’m obsessed with hair removal! Arms, bikini, legs, underarms…my entire body is hairless.” A behind-the-scenes video and more images on the next page, including the cover, shot by Michael Thompson. Cover image from Thefashionspot.

The reemergence of Palladium Boots in the United States is already a legit and advancing fashion wave for the fellas, and if Europe is any sort of early indicator, the same trend is about to burst wide open for women, too. On this page is one of Palladium’s Spring 2011 offerings, which we snapped at Project last week. Designed for to be worn in warm weather months , it’s part of the brand’s “Lite” line and feature a lining with wicking capabilities. Technical attributes aside, these are a perfect match for denim cut-offs and short skirts. A couple more after the flip, including a low and a hi in Palladium’s heritage hemp colors. And honestly, given this brand’s authentic heritage, the pricepoint is amaaaaazing with most styles priced 70 beans or under.

After the success of the Paige boot a few fall seasons ago The Frye Boot company’s Autumn/Winter 2010 video Look Book takes us to what they do best: Heritage, quality hints of the rugged wild west with a backround of romance.

While walking the floor of Project, this manicure leaped out, obsessed as I am these days with Ruffian manicures and white with black details as a color combo. The hand belongs to p.r. rep Melissa, who was at the show repping for Kettleblack. She says all the credit for her superbly-done Cali-gel mani goes to Gloss Nails in California, where she got her nails did before heading out to Vegas. Her whole look was great from her Rachel Comey clogs to her Erin Wasson Low Luv knuckle ring (see above). Click to the next page for more images and details.

As we mentioned in our first post on what we saw at Tokidoki’s booth at the Slate section of Magic, head designer Simone & co. were feeling very good about the success of the brand’s collaboration with Sephora so look for that to continue. Pictured here is a cosmetics gift box set that will hit stores in time for the holidays. It’s called “The Robbery” collection, reflecting some newly added, criminal-minded characters. See more of the holiday collection on the next page.
