Vogue reporter Chioma Nnadi apparently has landed the much-sought-after scoop confirming the location of Alexander Wang’s first boutique. It’s at 103 Grand Street in SoHo, where Yohji Yamomato once had a shop (which, in all fairness to Racked, they’ve been speculating that might be the spot for a while).  Said Wang on the store, which will open before year-end, “It’s a perfect, iconic location, and there is a massive amount of windows.”

Vivienne Westwood recently opened an exhibit of her shoe designs from over the years at Selfridges Ultra Lounge in London. The pair featured here are the infamous ones Naomi was wearing when she stumbled in them during a Viv Westwood runway show in 1993–back when falling down on a runway actually meant something! From the ultimate in classy, Trussardi tweeted a peak at its offering for Fashion Night Out, which, I know it’s supposed to be an exciting, great event for the industry, but I’m finding the blur of activities and offerings sort of overwhelming!

The new trend in handbags is away from in-your-face logos so Jeremy Scott is either ignoring that trend or making some sort of statement. Or something else. He hasn’t ever been logo-y before so maybe he was feeling like it was his time. And then, too, this bag isn’t about screaming his name as much as adding some fancy to what would otherwise be a very basic bag. Via Openingceremony.

Our first dispatch from Magic featured Pet Shop Girls’  designer Joe Chu. I promised I would return with images from her line and voila, that time has finally arrived. Chu honors that part of Asian fashion rooted in eye-winking humor with the sheer wish to entertain and lift the moment via clothing. Sadly it’s a style that’s not very embraced in the States. Though one could argue I suppose that Goth style is somehow related, but in an equal-but-very opposite manner. Anyway, Chu’s line is adorable and the items I photographed are probably her most serious. Check out her site to see what else she’s up to. Two more images after the flip.

While visiting with p.r. champ and pal, Ida, at her newish gig with G-Star, I fell head over heels for the cam0 jeggings featured here. The print is subtle and just the right amount of military, speaking to the trend rather than screaming it.
