These patent leather Prada kitten heels were recently shot in a Manhattan window by Julia Chesky.  She wasn’t into them, which is the opposite of me. I know some fashion folks are put off by the return of the classic kitten, but me personally I already have a pair and am looking forward to all the new interpreations.  These right here are a step in the right direction.

M.I.A. recently appeared on David Letterman and did this clone-a-la-Eminem thing, as in she had a bunch of women who looked and dressed like her back her up during her performance of the single, “Born Free.” She is catching all sorts of undeserved hate these days, but whatever, this is super fun to watch with the added bonus that M.I.A. chose to wardrobe herself and her clones in an inside-out Claw shirt! I’m still in love with Levi’s. The designer brands come and go, but the little red tag will always be the first one that ever mattered. The images here are ads for Levi’s “Boyfriend” jeans Autumn 2010 collection. They look good, but you know how it goes…you have to try them on first. Via Twenty2.

Heaving hitter dance shoe brand Repetto has always been more than just a performance shoe, in large part because of who it rubs shoulders with, from the a-list celebs who have love it over the year to the companies happy to work with it. The shoes on this page result from a collaboration with Commes de Garcon, which has worked with the brand on several other occassions. Repetto’s classic Zizi is on the left, the BB ballerina on the right, and both are updated with bold and very French-feeling color blocks. Via Nowness.

Two-year old Spanish label, Cardona Bonache, made quite the splash this past week with the accordian shoes featured in its Spring/Summer 2011 ready-to-wear show, held in Barcelona. According to press, “classic minimalist” is one of the label’s themes and I’d say judging from the shoes that’s a spot-on description. Via Paper magazine.
