 Stella McCartney Unicorn Tees!

Online retailer Restir has some newly-arrived Stella McCartney tees, featuring unicorns, a continuation of the horse theme that’s been always been a part of her collections and is a tribute to her deceased Mom, Linda.  I’ve always loved the items featuring horse graphics….they’re very heartfelt and a little wistful, and such a sweet tribute to a woman she loved and probably still misses very much.

Chanel Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 Video

This is a video of Chanel’s Autumn/Winter 2010/2011 couture collection. It’s interesting because it’s shot as though panning across a magazine editorial, with the models holding their poses against lush backgrounds. At points the camera zeroes in on details, but other than that the action is minimal. Personally I couldn’t handle the pace (or the music!), but that’s what posting on blogs all day does to your attention span!

The dreamy chic of the  Acne “Amon” blouse was not well represented  on Net-a-Porter where it’s  now available. Thanks to the flawless styling of Carolines Mode you get a better idea of  how perfect a  blouse and shorts could look. Too pretty not to have. More images on the next page.

Alice Dellal & Daisy Lowe For Palladium

28 July 2010, 22.41 | Posted in Shoes, advertisement | 1 comment »

Models Alice Dellal and Daisy Lowe (featured above) each did videos for Palladium boots, speaking about their style influences and choices and who they admire as a fashion icon. The two girls narrate as they are filmed exploring an old country house and a warehouse. As video advertisements go, this one is fairly interesting because we hear their opinions and ideas about fashion and see a bit of their personality captured, plus they both have genuinely interesting style. See Dellal after the flip.

Cesare Paciotti ‘Sole Art’ Collection Autumn/Winter 2010

image004 Cesare Paciotti Sole Art Collection Autumn/Winter 2010

For a  luxury shoe brand, commercial success is like a science. As much as there are the right  trends to hit,  the brands that we lust over have that special something that captures the heart and the mind. Manolo had it and to some extent still has his devotees, Choo came on strong but has struggled and Atwood  I just don’t hear about that much. The Red Sole King  has won not only because his shoes were killer but also because that red sole set  him apart visibly. Dropping major cash in these financial times becomes justifiable for a visible status symbol. It’s just  like the monograms and the logos. While women all over the world will always wear a plethora of lux brands, there is no denying that the average woman  who splurged on an LV Speedy wants a pair of Loubous. It really can be that simple.

I say all this to introduce Cesare Paciotti ( which I shoe luv). Not at all new to the shoe game,  the brand recently launched  a sole art collection  for Autumn/Winter 2010, where the footwear’s sole is adorned with a lace pattern as a nod to 80s glamour and corseterie. Check it out on the flip and let us know what you think?

GZDD1 Giuseppe Zanotti X Delfina Delettrez Shoe Collection

We first posted about the Guiseppe Zanotti collaboration with Delfina Delettrez back in March, and now we’re getting a look at the full collection, which includes flats, pumps and boots. The collection is super classic–a change in pace for both–but makes its mark with unique detailing, including a little hand from Delttrez’ s”Anotomik collection” clutching the shaft of the boot. According to Fashionlvr, the shoes will soon be on sale at Luisviaroma. More after the flip.
