Lily Allen On Cover Of U.K. Elle July Issue

Lily Allen takes the cover of this month’s U.K. Elle magazine. I’ve always rooted for Allen, not sure why, there’s just something kind of cute and sassy about her that’s attractive. And then, too, back when douchbag-of-life Perez Hilton was at the height of his young-female-hating powers and most folks were just too scared to fight back, Lily never held back and always went at him full guns blazing. I like the fighters. Via Twenty2.

aff1 Introducing: Affascinare Apparel

There are a few apparel adornments that In my mind I’ve always had resistance to: ruffles, bows and pompoms. Surprisingly enough, looking at the above pieces  by Meher& Riddhima’s  Affascinare (one of the first fashion houses in Dubai), I find myself drawn to the sudden festive appeal they have. Paired with gold  flats, a massive amount of gold accessories, I can actually see it .Who would have thought? More from Affascinare on the very fabulous Exclusivelyin.

Slightly reminiscent of Miyake’s pleats,  Lino Villaventura’s colorful fashion story for Summer 2011  is one that I would not mind to be a part of. Added to the flawless  headwrap styling were black manicures and ice blue eye contacts creating a sharply consistent look. View the delightfully creative collection on the next page. Making of Louis Vuitton Autumn Ad Campain

01 July 2010, 18.39 | Posted in Accessories, advertisement, celebrity | 3 comments »

Adorable-as-ever Marc Jacobs talks about the theme for Louis Vuitton’s Autumn ad campaign, and I know this sounds stupid, but one of the most interesting parts is when he catches himself calling the models “girls” and quickly corrects himself and says, “women.” The reference to models as girls is very much industry-speak so it’s striking that he makes the change….a reflection of consciousness or branding in-step with the line’s theme of a curvier and more womanly female?

Sorel Rain Boots

Sorel Rain Boots for women Spring 20111 Sorel Rain Boots

We see via 80sPurple that Sorel is adding rainboots to its boot repertoire. Rainboots are anything but a new trend, but I’d say this profile is a fresh new entry to the category–it’s taking the very hot duck boot trend that Sorel has been feasting on, and offering it in a rubber version. They don’t look like they’re retailing yet at 80sPurple, but I’m guessing by July or so. Maybe someone from their end will say in the comments. UPDATE: Steve (hi Steve!) from Ruleofnext tells us that these drop in December.
