Woolrich is showing some advance images of the limited edition 180th limited edition anniversary collection we showed a peek of a few months back from a visit to Project. It’s very much in step with the heritage/authentic vibe, which has been sweeping menswear in a big way for a while now. Nice that some of those companies are finally giving some love to the ladies. Look for at stores including Barney’s, Steven Alan, Ron Herman, and Gorsuch come August.

Because of the success of the M.O.B. X Lacoste lace “Hiromi” sneaker, the two labels decided to team up on some tee shirts.  It’s kind of funny to see those two vastly different labels snuggling up against each other but it’s also what makes this collabo work. The black tee is featured here and the white is on the flip. Both are now on sale at Lacoste boutiques.

Celebrity nail stylist Naja Green shares recent images of a manicure she did for M.I.A., who got her nails did for an upcoming video, directed by Hype Williams. The featured polish is Minx Nails’ “Lusion,” which has a 3-D effect in the light.

Photogrpaher Sonny did extensive coverage of Antwerp Academy’s end-of-year student show, which took place last week. Not sure who the designer is featured here (if someone knows, do tell so we can update), but he or she is from the 3rd year class. There are many, many more images at the site that are very much worthy of a view. After all, it’s always a good idea in fashion to keep an eye on and cheer the younglings.

I remember reaching  for  this intriguing auburn almost burgundy bottle  on my mom’s vanity as a little girl, I was  not supposed to not touch it. However on occasion before she would leave I would get a little spritz on my hand. As I  got older the mystery of this bottle was explained. It was called Opium by Yves Saint -Laurent. Worn my so many women in my family it was like a signature. Today Yves Saint-Laurent  Parfums Launches an updated version of the 1978 cult  favorite with a launch party that promises to outdo the famed 1978 at Studio 54  where icons like grace Jones( with Egon Von Furstenberg) , Nan Kempner, YSL himself (above) attended. For a long period Gisele was the lone supermodel during that celeb-crazed period when models were out of fashion. Now that she’s had a baby and is working again (here we see her featured in an ad campaign for Italian label Calzedonia), does she still have it and can she compete with the latest crop of gorgeous Amazons who are riding the rising tide of models as more than just another pretty face? This business is an intensely cruel one and my money is on the liklihood that the answer to both of those questions is no. More images at FGR.
