Here is another offering from the collaboration between Puma and Turkish-born designer Hussein Chalayan. This time it’s bags, which are again being offered as part of Puma’s “Urban Mobility” collection. Solene Roure, who worked with Chalayan to create the collection, says on the bags, “Those bags are super practical. They offer multiple pockets. Innovative material. We focused on creating new silhouettes and slouchy appeal. The straps create a ‘organised mess’ which makes the bags so unique.”

There is a very special place in our hearts for the type of heart-palpitating design/ creativity that designers like Sandra Backlund  bring to the table. Looking at her  current collection,  which is a little less dramatic than her previous fall  line, you still marvel at the sculptural  details.  Take a closer look on the next page.

The internet is  buzzing about last night’s launch of YSL Belle d’Opium complete  with a  rotating platform(view here) coupled with  sound effects and holograms. The new scent is a winner in our book  as  it  captures a slight  musky undertone of the original Opium but reveals a  much softer less spicier side. On the next page a glimpse of who we spotted, including M.I.A and Ashley Olsen rocking a YSL headband  that contrary to “some” opinions Lois and I  were totally fiending over (more on that later). Turkish designer Sevan Bicakci, who literally creates other worlds within his ring collection has expanded his collection to include earrings. The bands are 24K and the rest of the materials and the detailing are super lux so no surprise that the price is tops, too. Okay, okay, they’re men’s Gucci hightops, but the truth is HighSnobette has a sneaker heritage (did you know we used to be called ChicksWithKicks??) and we can’t help but occassionally share our lust for an admirably designed pair of kicks, even if they supposedly are only (as if!) for the fellas. These were featured in a dsiplay at the temporary Gucci Icon store in Tokyo. Via Honeyee.

Though Amber Rose isn’t causing the tidal wave of buzz she did when she first appeared on the arm of Kanye West, she’s still out there doing her thing, including a feature in YRB magazine where we see her sporting a Marilyn-style blonde wig. It’s good to see that the staff let her spreard her wings a bit and try something in a different lane from the white-girl-with-the-big-booty that had everyone losing their minds for a minute. In the article, Rose says she was always a weirdo, and says about her beautiful bod and signing with Ford Model Agency, ““I’m lucky because I get to keep my womanly figure, and that’s very important for me and the young girls that look up to me – that they can have curves and breasts, hips, and ass and still feel beautiful.”
