Launching in just ten days, precisely on June 25, we present you a first look at the capsule collection Mark Fast created for Topshop. Staying true to the look of his main line this five-piece knit  collection  gives me everything I need from Mark Fast :  tons of edgy/ sexy while being thoroughly versatile .

According to press, ”Mark was inspired by sleek exotic birds for his collection for Topshop, particularly the shimmer of their wings and the movement of their feathers as they fly.”  These pieces will sell out  for sure! Launching this coming August is YSL Beauté ’s interpretation of what has become a true “nails-did” craze. Titled “Rock & Baroque,”  the autumn 2010 cosmetics collection includes a series  of  nail polishes that  will be sold  in duos. The idea is to create an edgy,  French manicure with  striking color combinations:  “Belle de Jour”( turquoise & purple), “Rive Gauche” (orange & fushia), “Belle de Nuit” (plum& gold) and “Y-Cone” (pink & white). Newly launched Jewel Heritage founded by two sisters, Amina and Zorra Khan (UK), with  backgrounds in Illustration and Fashion Design . Their  first collection  wich include the above ‘Eyeballing Ring”  not for the light hearted and contains quite dark and sinister imagery.”… That was our aim,we are seeing too many similar designs in the design industry in general so we wanted to take it into a new direction. Unlike other labels, we plan to release our first collection one piece at a time, the first collection being entitled Gripse.” There will only be 4 pieces (2rings and 2 necklaces) and numbers will never pass 25 in production. Looking like scenes straight out of an 80’s wall poster, We Are Handsome’s one-piece suits are a collaboration between Australian designers Oscar & Elvis Swimwear and People Like Us, specifically designers Indhra Chagoury and Jeremy Somers. Each piece is made by hand and at this point unfortunately are all sold out at the moment. TheCorner, however, still has them in stock.

Lady Gaga landed on the front page of both of New York’s tabloids today, the NY Post and the Daily News, for flipping the bird at photographers, who were shooting her while she was in attendance at a Mets game. Her heart is probably warmed by the fact that she now shares some history with her biggest idol, Madonna. Still, given her outfit (a studded, leather bikini!) and the weather–kind of chilly–one can’t help but think she had to work a lot harder to get her front page than Mo ever did. The fame monster indeed.
