We’ve been showing sneak peaks here and there, but the full version of the Married to the Mob movie short, “Runaway Faye” is now online. Produced by Leah McSweeney and directed by Shawn Regruto, it features adult-movie star Faye Reagan on an adventure that lands her in Coney Island, a spot whose grittiness and connection to the “old” New York has always been an inspiration to the Mob label. The camera clearly likes Faye and as nice as her boobs are, one can’t help but hope this leads to more non-nudey projects.

The ever-iconic Yves Saint Laurent relaunched its site yesterday along with a fresh assortment of products, which have not yet been shown in boutiques. Gold metallics are featured here and on the next page, but they’re also available in patent-leather red and leopard.

We continue to see the trend of designers and photographers  bringing fashion down to earth, literally. In this shoot, entitled “A Matter of Taste,” photographer Fulvio Bonavia’s take on bags, shoes,  accessories (including a perfume bottle and helmet!) is not just delicious, but somehow both deeply sensual and delightful.

Married to the Mob, one of our most beloved, just released images of its summer 2010 collection, as modeled by adult movie star Faye Reagen (And by the way, am I the only one who thinks Faye looks more like Leah’s sister than Sweet Sixteen?? As mentioned here yesterday Karl Lagerfeld premiered his short flick, “Remember Now” last night, and we present it here, split into two parts. The clothing is gorgeous, but as a poster on YouTube aptly sums up, “Rich and beautiful people fucking themselves with their egos. What an inane cliché.” Funny and true.

Karl works to get some mojo back via the sex channel, calling forth his inner Bridgett Bardot while pushing Princess Kelly to the back of the line.  It’s a fun/jaunty/entirely appropriate collection, but nothing that makes one believe it doesn’t all come back to selling lots of quilted bags.

I always say there is an Herve Leger dress somewhere in my future. The quintessential body conscious dress has of course been knocked off to the core, but the snobs cannot settle for imitations especially when we know for a fact the fabric quality of these dresses really stands the test of time. Just in from Nau, the Grant for Change ( G4C)  highlighting efforts of those who move in the spirit of the Nau Collective:  Athletes, Artists, and Activists challenging assumptions about what it means to move, be moved, and move others.

Design as a tool for positive change applies to many sectors. Examples include but are not limited to: architecture, energy, graphic Design + multimedia communication, performance, product + industrial design, transportation, urban planning and visual arts.
