Namrata Joshipura  presented her autumn/winter 2010 collection a few  months ago in Delhi, showcasing  an array of handcrafted fabrics and textures on simple yet very dressy silhouettes. In these pieces I envision  holiday parties and a sense of lady like opulence with a little sexy thrown in. On the next page a few of my favorite looks from the runway with a finale  by the very beautiful Deepika Padukone (above left).

Check this super slick summer 2010 Hermes bags, composed of both silk and leather. Part of the “Silkcity” series, the bag featured on this page, called “Kelly en Perles,” is a ressurection of a design created by Republic of Cameroon artists in 1997. Nike Stadium (which the site describes as ”stages for inspired performers, labs for innovative expressions, spaces where stories are told and others are written) in Paris recently presented “The Cheerleeding Collection,” a collaboration with Andrea Crews, an art and fashion collective led by Maroussia Rebecq. The collaboration includes a cheerleeding class, which concludes with a May 31st cheerleading show. Not for nothing, but this collaboration is flying right straight over my head, but figured some of you might find it interesting given the Nike connection.
