All Saints UK one of my fave labels finally is available in New York.Created in 1994 as a menswear label, they introduced a women’s line in 1998 and have been creating what I can call my dream closet ever since: Chic, edgy modern and definitely unique looking with a subtle hint of Rick Owens. Even the children’s line makes me a little weak in the knees… On the next page check out the gritty stylish interiors that contribute to their undenying cool factor.

Some eye-popping images of Sasha Pivovarova for the May issue of Vogue Italy (via FashionGoneRogue) in an article entitled “Love is in the Hair.” The hair is by stylist Sam McKnight and it’s shot by Emma Summerton. It’s more evidence of one of our favorite new trends of hair and make-up that pops out of the page. And check out the manicure–a closer look on the next page.

The manicure featured above is a red Ruffian, which was shown at the Dior spring 2010 runway show. It comes from a recent Vogue Italy article on nail trends, which declares, “The rule: less square and never too long.” I’m not big on dos and don’ts, but I have to say I’ve left behind square shapes…for now anyway.

Released in 2006, the Fish go deep song “The Cure & the Cause,” featuring Tracy K. , has become a house music dance anthem. Definitely starts the mood for summer fun. Enjoy!

Russian hottie Valentina Zeliaeva is on the cover of W Korea’s June issue, sporting what is shaping up to be this summer’s hottest hair trend, candy-colored tresses, a look that’s been percolating for a while now, but judging from its recent appearance on the covers of more established rags, is about to go mass. The image comes via Twenty2.
And on a beauty related note, we here at HighSnobette are officially looking for an intern who can cover the make-up and hair space, which has been lacking on HS. Ideally you are located in some city other than New York, and even better, outside of the United States. It’s a non-paying gig, but is good for someone looking to build their resume and maybe get access to related launch events/trade shows. If your interested contact: Lois@HighSnobette.com.

One of our favorite nail artists, Lacquerized, slays us once again with her latest Ruffian mani, which features Man Glaze “Matt is Murder” overlayed with a top coat. The image of the mani also is accompanied by a tutorial on how to lay down a Ruffian manicure. Not for nothing, but Ms. Lacquerized is way too humble because even if I “practice, practice, practice” as she recommends, she clearly possesses a gift that doesn’t translate to us mere mortals so easily.

All-American brand Lee’s biggest competitor, Levi’s, is many miles ahead in the game of positioning itself as a hip brand via collabos (I mean, when was the last time you saw a fashion savvy person in Lee jeans?), but this collabo Lee is doing with Vivienne Westwood, called “Lee Anglomania” gains it some points. From what I can make out from the German press release, the collabo launches this July and will feature jeans in a variety of cuts, plus hot pants, and will be sold online at ZapposCouture, Net-A-Porter and Asos, among others. More images after the flip.
