Fan favorite Tokidoki creator Simone Legno launched his Tokidoki cosmetics collection in NYC last night with Sephora. “Dangerously Fun” was the theme,  allowing for a contrast of airy cotton candy treats, a rock band,  female skateboarders and Tokidoki avatars. Don’t let the cute packaging  of this collection  fool you. This make-up line is heavy duty in quality and innovation. Rich pigments to the delight of the pro make-up lover and the average girl.  The pencil liners and shadows are a dream! In the words of Simone this collection is all about “experimenting,  mixing  elegance and fun”.  On the next page a closer look at the event.

Pink pants would  very rarely make my list of stunning awe inspiring fashion , However the Hosiery Pants by Preen deserve som shine. As part of a series on dream jobs, Oprah checked in with J.Crew’s Exectuive Creative Director, Jenna Lyons, to see what she gets up to in a day. I’m mad that I couldn’t imbed the video, but in the capture above Jenna explains her shoe collection. On the next page, there’s also an image capture of Jenna in her sparkle harem pants. On the Oprah video, her life does indeed seem pretty idylic (supportive husband + adorable 3-year old), but still, J.Crew is a public company so the non-stop feeling of a piano hanging over your head has to pretty much always be there. Pressure baby, not everyone can handle it.

Available this summer at $600 a pop is the capsule collection by Jimmy Choo. A lux label we can see trying really hard lately to get our attention. Are they attempting to get  the lust of the female  sneaker lovers or the high  end fashionistas? Will ‘Choo kicks’  become the new Prada or Gucci  sneakers  ?    The black high tops and the snake  low tops are not bad. To all our Southern-California readers, if you’re in the mood to meet an icon, Christian Louboutin will be appearing at his new Hollywood store on Wednesday, April 28th from 4pm to 7pm, to say what’s up and sign shoes. The event will include free glasses of champagne so you can even regale your friends with tales of getting tipsy with one of this era’s shoe gods. Just don’t get all drunk and start wrecking the place, trying to sneak shoes that don’t even fit into your bag and generally being a hot mess. Above is a shot of the interior and that ottoman?
