Storefronts: They Aint All Glamorous!

Lately we’ve been snapping and posting images from storefronts that catch our eye as we make our travels around New York. On our way back from the Levi’s event, we were on the edge of the Garment District when we spotted the store featured here. This one, called Rock Fashion, is located on 36th Street, and appears to be open to the general public. (There are a bunch in this neighborhood that have storefronts, but you need a tax i.d. to shop in them. In other words, they are only for buyers purchasing in bulk.) What I like best about this store is how the bright and feminine dance dresses are positioned above a bunch of men’s boots! I mean really, what in the world was the thinking there? Buy yourself a freakum dress and while you’re at it, pick your guy up a pair of shoes??

i like how they put the prom dress on the long-haired mannequin
totally random or a moment of inspiration? like…”i know! let’s put the long hair w the long dress!”
HECK YEAH put the boot/leather shoes in front of the dance dresses. They know who’s gonna buy those type of dresses & us homegirls are tired of taking the time to go out to a club and they don’t let the guy in simply because they’re rockin’ sneakers.
they want you to wear the dresses with the shoes shown in front of them. what a great look!
I think the inspiration for this one may be that the girl buying their freakum dress will see the shoes their new boo will fill after they catch him in that dress.
