DJonesVice5 Dominic Jones Accessories: Theyre Alive!

Accessory designer Dominic Jones‘ latest creations are featured in the March issue of Vice magazine. He’s evolved from studs and punk looks from last year to necklaces that speak to the oceanic cycle of life and death. It’s a theme Alex McQueen explored with his spring 2010 collection, too. And in general it seems to be part of a new direction in fashion of getting cozier with our animal roots, even if that mostly means wearing them as adornment, whether dead or living.

More necklaces on the flip.

  1. Creepy.

  2. Yep, creepy definitely springs to mind. Disturbing, too.

  3. In my book creepy but kinda cool, great for styling editorials and music videos. Dunno about rocking the fish piece on a date. Then again you never know ?

ahahaha, rocking them on a date! can you imagine? i’d die just to see the look on a guy’s face if some female should stroll up to the table wearing those fish heads first time out.

  5. This is scary. He took it too far… im not sure why anyone wld wear this…

  6. What are the ones that look like balls?

I agree w/ these just being used for editorials. Definitely not functional. haha.

Very cool to look at tho.

the octopus looking one is great. pretty sure the artist did not have wearability in mind, there are loads of played down versions of this type of thing if thats what you’re after. although the snail one someone might be able to pull off.

  8. mamafishy:

Poor girl must have felt she needed 2 or 3 showers after that shoot. Imagine wearing all that in a studio with hot lights……..
