Judging from the video stills from Rihanna’s next single, “Rude Boy,”  it looks like Rihanna is indeed pivoting on her look and moving in a more light-hearted, funner direction. And in fact, commenting on the look of the video, she states, ”A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. ’Rude Boy’ is more playing along the lines from my roots.”

Love’s magazine has done several different series featuring very cutting edge (or naughty depending on your maturity level) photos of some of the industry’s biggest models. The latest features Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell as photographed by Mert Allas and Marcus Piggot. The image on this page is one of the least racy and features Kate Moss’s legs in a pair of Louboutins. The photos are amazing as is the level of intimacy revealed.

Brit-transplant and fashion maven, Karen Blanchard, of WhereDidUGetThat blog fame has posted up some new looks from the past few days. As skilled as she is at layering, even she is fed up with the friged temps that have descended upon New York since what seems like forever now. Swash is, I presume, a new U.K. label, launched by Sarah Swash and Toshio Yamanka, both Central St. Martins grads (erm…a design school in England??). Obvs, they’re all about the print and I love how they do a top-to-bottom look. Nicely photographed, too–makes me want to smoke weed and watch Fellini films.

These sandal/ boots   by the Maison Martin Margiela  MM6 diffusion line, stood out to us a the perfect interpreation of the avant -garde labels ability to translate its aesthetic  into styles that  seemlessly blend into the urban everyday. Looking through this look book I could not help but focus  of the this classic denim jacket .
