Creative Recreation for 2010 made a New Year’s resolution to upgrade women’s offerings from strictly athletic to a more growned-up and sophisticated line of women’s heels, whose strength is their sure-handed mix of materials. Love the open-toe, lace-up boots featured here, especially the two-tone, which are definitely not for the feint of heart.

Mid-heel heights, wooden heels and huaraches are going to be big for Spring and natch, Irregular Choice found a way to bring all three elements together for a design, which hits all the right notes for a warm spring 2010 night.

Not a fan of holidays in general, but Valentine’s Day takes the cake for dislike levels. So I’m ignoring that our beloved Toofly is promoting her heart necklace as a Valentine’s Day item. She re-colored last year’s silver and gold version in red and black and they are priced at a very affordable $30. Toofly will be donating $1 from each purchase to Yele to help Haiti rebuild.

Crooks&Castles launches Spring 2010 for the women of the world. Could there be anything more complicated than the female who digs street style? I don’t think so. Ladies, go take a peak at the lookbook and tell us if C&C has you figured out!

I have to dash out for some meetings, but I wanted to make sure I got these images up before I go. When I got to Compass, Samia made sure I did a beeline for the Su-Yoon booth, so smitten was she.  Sexy, fresh and athletic-inspired, this line is the next evolution for the chicks-with-kicks generation who wants a more mature look. Not surprisingly one of the two designers who created the line has a background designing for some of the heavy hitters of the athletic shoe industry. (And on a side note, no surprise that some reps for Jordan who were walking the show, also stopped and took a very long look at the line!)

With no formal fashion trainning  , London based Nneka Onyenakala, created  N’Damus  a sleek collection of handmade leather accessories showcasing  a sense of refinement with hints of abstraction. The  Abstract Rose cluth above totally won us over.Take a closer look at N’Damus on the next page.

As a dedicated label ho, Gucci always sits at somewhere near the top of my list, and for at least the past six months, it’s occupied the No. 1 spot in my heavy-hitter-loving heart. Here we see some looks from the pre-fall, ready-to-wear line for 2010. It’s an ode to the classier, less glitzy side of Gucci, which doesn’t exactly make my heart beat fast, but I’m still digging the nude-influenced color pallette and the very sick, high-waisted trousers, straight out of the 70s. And the fur coat on the left……the mouth drools!
