After visiting the Compass shoe show earlier in the week, I stopped by FFANY, which is a much more traditional sort of show shoe held in the Hilton, as well as brand showrooms.  The Jeffrey Campbell suite was packed to the rafters and full of manic energy as usual, but I figured I ‘d try my luck and ask if I could photograph anything. Normally the reps say no, but thank my lucky stars this time they said yes! And look at the FIIIIRE boot they let me shoot! S0-so hot. And it slips right on, easy as pie. It’s called the “Slash-Tick” and you’ll be able to purchase it April 25th at Solestruck.

Continuing their commitment to fun fashion with a sport appeal , Adidas Orignals collaborates with  artist Fafi for  Spring /Summer 2010 with a colorful assortment of footwear and apparel adorned with the artists  illustrations .The Snobettes of course appreciate the stronger fashion direction of these pieces , a closer look on the next page.

Looking like shelves stocked with rows and rows of candy, the launch of Native caught plenty of attention at Compass. The molded EVA (think Crocs, only 10x slicker designs) makes them both lightweight and color-friendly. Gucci, the brand of which I am a total Stan just announced it will reach into its media archives to create its next set of watch ads. Pulled from campaigns from the 60s, they feature model Veruschka and in another ad not featured here, Peter Sellers (r.i.p!).  Three Gucci watches will be superimposed over the old images, including Gucci’s first-ever digital watch. Love the idea and the look of the photographs and very smart of Gucci to tap into its insanely rich heritage.

As there is snow on the ground currently in NYC we get a little  the consolation from  these well executed sandals by Chloe. The trend has been done but these were too sleek to pass. Available at net-a-porter.
