I like the fanny pack a LOT more than she/he does: “I thought went out of fashion a long time ago but I guess Marc is resuscitating its use. I adore the color combination of brown and aquamarine but will it tempt me enough to buy this double handled bag for $2,000?” If i had that kind of extra money, I would skip past tempted and head straight an LV boutique to pick that baby up.  Check out the blog for reviews on three other bags.

Whenever I  go to the Met in NYC I always marvel at the armors and the thought that battles were waged in those heavy accoutrement’s . Needless to say chain mail always caught my eye, designer Fannie Schiavoni  puts her spin on the metal with a collection of body jewelry hat we just could not ignore. Shelly Steffee has been designing her name sake collection since 2001 , and has never stopped creating  refined women’s clothing with  a decidedly feminine urban edge.  Spring/Summer 2010 features a dark palette contrasted with sheer textures and a pop of color here and there.  Loving every single piece.Check out Shelly Steffee Spring/Summer 2010 collection on the next page.

Last year seemed to be a year when shoe profiles were pushed to the limits of high-art craziness. This year seems to be more about zoning in on classic profiless while upping the ante on the color and materials story. For Spring 2010, U.S.-based Proenza Schouler maximizes the woven leather upper trend with contrasting colors, and, showing absolutely zero fear, throws in a zig-zag pattern on the heel for good measure.

I truely struggled to decide which piece from Fafi’s Spring 2010 collaboration with Adidas to feature on the front page. I chose the suitcase because it’s charming even my cold heart to pieces. Love this woman. And kudos for Adidas for giving her the freedom to do her thing. They’ve been a hot mess in a lot of ways, but they know how to do collabos.

Oh boy, what was boy genius thinking we he put his stamp on this design, which, as bloggers have repeatedly pointed out here, here and here, is priced at $1,960. I’m kind of making fun of Kanye with my headline, but I think any person outside of the few that breathe the very thin air Marc Jacobs and friends do, find the out-of-touchness of this item borderline shocking. Then again, Jacobs has visionary tendencies so maybe he has a feeling for a brighter, more light-hearted and humorous future than the rest of us. (Yep, making excuses as I go along, I know.)

Sporting lightning pumps, the Snobette fashion fave stuns again as she get ready for her superbowl fan jam performance. The look is nothing extraordinary but showcases that fashion mix of the cool city woman. Jeans, heels ,  leather jacket and a cool hat. A closer look in the flip via RD.

Boots aren’t going anywhere in 2010, but expect to see a lot more lace-ups at retail compared to last year. The newer trends are authentic/workboot-inspired so the  best ones will have a vintage appeal.  Timberland Boot Company (a snobbier subdivision of Timberland) hits all the right marks with its women’s spring collection, as epitomized by the Lucille boot shown above.
