Rihanna on Cover of February W

RihannaClose up Rihanna on Cover of February W

Our current favorite patron saint of celebrity fashion, Rihanna, is on the cover of the February issue of W, wearing a white Gucci dress (click after the flip to see it). She is profiled in the issue and the reporter takes her stab at sorting out the Chris affair. I would have liked to have seem more about her views on fashion, but I suppose that doesn’t move magazines as well as young-female angst does. We do discover that Rihanna got a new tattoo (sigh!), which reads: “never a failure always a lesson,” and it’s backwards so she can see it in the mirror. And there is line or two devoted to her take on fashion:

“My stylist Mariel Haenn and I always try to do something sexy but never too girly—we always try to put a little toughness in there,” she says. Today she is wearing harem-pant overalls, which she has paired with a black headpiece that can only be described as a hairnet, and which she somehow manages to make look cool. She explains that the line “I’m such a f—in’ lady” from Rated R’s single “Wait Your Turn” has become like a mantra for her, aesthetically and otherwise.

If you visit the site, you’ll find the article, additional photos and a behind-the-scenes video shoot as well.

See the full length version of the above and the cover shot after the flip.

RosaAcosta2 Rosa Acosta in Lace Earlace

We posted yesterday about the recently launched Lace accessories line, which features the Earlace. The press release mentioned that video vixenette Rosa Acosta is a fan, and lo’ and behold, guess who we spotted wearing the Earlace at a recent Omarion record release party? Yes, it was Senorita Acosta. Not familiar with her yet? A former ballet dancer, she rose to fame partially on the strength of her stretching videos featured on YouTube. Once you see them, you probably won’t forget her name. Ever.

Vans X Hellz Bellz Sneakers: Hell Yes!!

VansHellzBellzE Vans X Hellz Bellz Sneakers: Hell Yes!!

Vans collaborating with Hellz Bellz is a match made in heaven and further evidence that Vans is not playing around in its quest to make its ladies product stand alone. The two styles shown here, the Sophie on the left and the Hadley on the right, will be released in February. The styling on the two shoes reflects Hellz Bellz designer Lanie Barcena’s own dichotomous take on fashion, which she describes as “tomboy chic” and “edgy feminine.” We swoon because that is the very lane we here at HighSnobette feel most at home in.

Both styles will be available at Karmaloop and Wish

A couple more shots exclusive to HighSnobette after the flip. (Wait ’til you see the zipper on the hightops! You’re gonna pass.right.out!)
