Rachel Roy and singer Estelle are joining forces on a jewelry collection which Rachel is going to preview as a pop-up store on her Facebook page on February 9th for three days only. The collection includes rings, ear cuffs and necklaces and ranges in price from $34-$50. If you become a fan of Rachel, you’ll have the opportunity to buy the collection on-line, and some items–like the ultra-cool, full-finger petal ring featured above, will only be sold on her site.

(And on a side note, good on Rachel for moving past her high-profile marriage and actually doing the darn thing. I had my doubts about her whole delve into fashion not being very serious, but I’m happy to say she’s proved me wrong, wrong wrong!)

I’ve seen a few styles by various high end labels , however in the contemporary category there seems to be a very small amount of dresses this fall,  that do not look like shirts, have long sleeves, made of anything heavier than jersey, while being  casual enough to throw on with some flat boots. One of the  interesting phenomenons of fashion and the influence of the web is that creators with a long history  can often be upstaged by younger no less talented labels with more visibility. For example as much as we love the likes of Fenton/Fallon , Lizzy Fortunato we cannot ignore Iradj Moini whose designs dating  back to 1989 can be put in the same category of edgy , creative jewellery with a twist. Rihanna wore a lace Gaultier gown and Nina Ricci shoes on the red carpet for the French NRJ Awards (see her performance of of “Russian Roulette at JustJared.) Her love for edgy fashion still leaps out, but one can’t help but wonder if the ultra-femmy, white lace top isn’t a signal that she’s beginning to shift in a slightly less dark direction.
