Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2010

 Miu Miu Pre Fall 2010

Miu Miu’s pre-fall line is nothing if not charming and I could definitely see myself never taking off the fur on the left for a winter season. Or for that matter, the plaid coat on the right. You take the white knee highs out of the picture and you have some outerwear that’s wearable but still original and doesn’t turn heads as much as quietly seduces you.

Check out the plaid pants and matching coat after the flip. Tough to imagine wearing as a duo, but either piece on its own is slick.

Valentino Couture Spring/Summer 2010

 Valentino Couture Spring/Summer 2010

At first glance at the jacket on the left I thought I was looking at Balenciaga or Balmain. But no, This collection is the latest reincarnation of Valentino by designers Maria Grazia Chiuri & Pier Paolo Piccioli.Call me  old school but , being that Valentino is part of that “Holy Grail” of high end fashion that existed bafore most of us were born.

I hesitate to say that I am  fully sold on  the direction. I’m all for reinvention however  hasn’t the Sci-fi- ish thing been done? Thankfully there is detailing on those pieces like the ruffled jumpsuit  that I know would have made Mr. Garavani proud. More images on the next page via style &wire.

Minx Nails at Chanel??

Chanel+Minx Minx Nails at Chanel??

We all see different things when we look at runway images. PersonallyI zero in on the shoes and accessories. Michelle at AllLacqueredUp focuses on the nail polish. For Chanel’s recent Spring/Summer 2010 runway show, she spied the nails featured here and wondered if Chanel hadn’t succombed to the lure of Minx polish. Noteworthy, she says because Chanel rarely uses outsider product on its runways.  I’m not enough of an expert to make the call, but I will say the polish perfectly accents the silverly smooth themes that anchored the show.

MTTMLeah Leah McSweeney: Stella & Louboutin

I told you in the last post  that M.O.B. designer Leah McSweeney looked amazing at the party at the Pierre Hotel for her collabo with LaCoste. Typical Virgo that she is, her get up is immaculate, from her perfectly coiffed honey-colored locks to the Stella lace jumpsuit (which coordinated with her sneaker) and natch, shoes by who else but Louboutin, who’s been murdering it like it aint nothing for a minute.

On the flip, images of M.O.B.’s trouble-makers No. 1 & 2 (Tab and Lourdes) and what would a M.O.B. party be without a little Sweet Sixteen??

M.O.B. X Lacoste “Hiromi” Sneaker!!

MTTMLaCoste Shoes

Samia and handed over to Manhattan’s Pierre hotel yesterday to enjoy high tea (yes, high tea, trust, for this Jersey girl it was a total hoot and a half) with all our M.O.B. crew favorites in celebration of Married to the Mob’s collaboration with Lacoste. The shoes are amazing, unique and the lace theme couldn’t be more on point. Priced at $120, look for them to go on sale February 13th. I’m behind on getting these up, but after this post I’m going to do another one dedicated to the people in attendance (Leah looked smoking hot–wait ’til you see!)
