As much as we cannot justify the hefty price tag, we have to say that the famed Lanvin sneakers for women in Spring 2010 are looking a lot better, with the introduction of prints and more textures and fabrics. Via colette. more styles and colors on the flip.

A man after our  own hearts, as he understands the strong bond between a woman and her shoes, Francesco Russo, creative director for Sergio Rossi describes his women’s  Spring/Summer 2010 accessories collection for the label as follows:” A shoe defines a woman’s allure. According to its curve, its design, it defines one attitude or another, it provokes different reactions. A shoe inspires an entire range of emotions. I tried to convey these through a dream.  This is the story of a woman who morphs on contact with these shoes. She is connected to a dream of shadows, birds, mermaids….. “And a dream it is indeed! 

 From bright metallics to intricate  fishnet details and cut-outs, we love this  collection , however we think the label can do so much more to rival the Loubous, Lanvins ,  & Zanottis that are running the luxury shoe game lately…Feast your eyes on the  Sergio Rossi beauties on the next page ( Images courtesy of Sergio Rossi).

I always say that living in NYC   it’ s easy to be jaded about the use of African prints in fashion. As much as I admire the rich mix of colors and patterns , I found  that very few designers achieve designs that showcase a very high level of creativity that can be categorized as high end fashion design.
