Inspired by casinos and the atmosphere of fantasy that often surrounds them, María Escoté created an  Autumn/ Winter’09 collection  filled with pieces  tinted with a healthy dose of drama. This collection is  in  no way minimal or subtle. As it reminds me of the heroines of a 007  movie the  chained dress, jacket  and fishnet paneled pieces  stand out as the stars of the collection. Rihanna’s  choice, to publicly speak , about her ordeal  has been criticised as being somewhat “convenient” to her album  release, all I  have to say is why not? Is not life about taking our tragedies  and using them to make us  stronger.
