One of the coolest factors of the NYC retail scene is that the dynamic turn around of locations  and spaces allows for vacant store fronts that can be occupied by young exciting brands like NAU. Their pop-up store opened in Soho , NYC   last week with  a great assortment of apparel from their Autumn/Winter “09 collection as well as items from Timberland, Freitag and Horny Toad. The space just like the label  aims to be eco-friendly by re-purposing cardboard and wood while a portion of the proceeds go to various not for profit organizations. For her Autumn/Winter ‘09 Collection for Adidas  to my joy Fafi  chose to simply feature her  illustrations on sleek white or black silhouettes allowing the collection to be alot more versatile and maybe even less junior. The object of our constant shoe lust, Nicholas Kirkwood has launched a collection of flats. Shedding the architectural platforms and heels that have us fiending for air, the flats collection will be  available exclusively at DSM  in the UK for spring 2010 with only 17 pairs for each style. The house of Carven has been around since about 1945.With  my dad  being an avid wearer of  Vetiver de Carven  for as long as I can remember( featuring  Vetiver from Haiti) The name Carven is if anything familiar. Dazed gives us a look at their new collection for women launching for Spring 2010 designed by Guillaume Henry interviewed here.  As the timing for this come back can be somewhat challenging we are very excited to see more.  A peek at the collection on the next page.

For their V Magazine Issue 62 cover shoot, a Chanel clad Natalie Portman manages to play it cool while looking searing hot.
