As I am enjoying the fall foliage up north  this week,  the 80%20 Spring/Summer 2010 Collection has me thinking of the warm sunny days that have left us way too soon this year in NYC. Via SI:” Feiyue, the heritage sneaker brand, has collaborated with the conceptual fashion label Unholy Matrimony by Bret Westfall, with the aim of creating wearable art that defies the concept of trend-based fashion. The designer Bret Westfall, who has previously worked on projects for Comme des Garcons, stayed close to the original design of the sneaker, by decorating the Feiyue Lo in plain black canvas with a discreet Unholy Matrimony logo and a small pink mushroom. The result is a subtle, iconic design. Feiyue sneakers first appeared in the 1920s in Shanghai as a small shoe made of light material. After a long time the shoe crossed continents and arrived in Europe in 2006, where the line was picked by a team of French sneaker and urban enthusiasts. Feiyue x Unholy Matrimony will be available online in spring 2010.”
